Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days Titanio DLC Watch
Panerai has announced a stable of new models this week at Watches & Wonders in Hong Kong. Among a range of new Radiomirs, we find two very cool limited edition dial variations for the Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days Titanio DLC. Panerai's vintage-inspired 1950's line offers a time-proven aesthetic that reflects the early days of the Luminor case and the addition of its now iconic lever action crown guard. With the 1950 3 Days Titanio DLC, Panerai is offering a "best of both worlds" solution that provides their classic Italian diver-style in a lightweight but scratch-resistant DLC titanium case. These two limited edition Luminors differ only by dial design. The PAM617 (above, left) employs Panerai's classic black logo sandwich dial with the distinctive 12, 3, 6, and 9 numerals and a sub seconds display, while the PAM629 (above, right) is given a "cali dial," which mixes arabic and roman numerals in a nod to the early Radiomirs that bore a similar dial design. Hands-On: With The Bell & Ross WWI Monopusher Chronograph Heritage (Live Pics & Pricing)
Bell & Ross might be best known for its square, instrument-inspired watches, but there is a lot more to the brand than just that. Most interesting to HODINKEE are the Vintage WWI and WWII collections, which take styling cues from the early twentieth century but utilize them in ways that will appeal to the modern watch buyer. We first showed you the WWI Monopusher Chronograph Heritage when it debuted last year, but this week we spent some time around New York City with a pair of these vintage chronos and here is is a more in-depth look at this lesser-known Bell & Ross. 2 OF 13 Curved Wire Lugs The Bell & Ross WWI collection is defined by a handful of vintage-inspired details. First off are the angled wire lugs, which are really crucial for comfort with the WWI Monopusher. The case here is thick, at 15mm, though it looks and feels even thicker at first because of the relative simplicity of the watch. I'll admit I was a little scared when I first picked
What year was Royal Oak 14790 introduced?
Maybe a dumb question but I can't seem to find any info about it. I'm looking for a birthyear watch and the Royal oak would be a dream. The year I'm looking for is 1992, I have seen watches from 1993 but not 1992...Can anybody help me out? Thanks in advanceBest regardsJakob
VERSUS: Special Edition Modern Sea-Dwellers
Tenth edition of the VERSUS post/picture. What is VERSUS? Well, I thought it would be fun to compare two watches (and only those two watches) and discuss pros/cons by outlining the differences and getting folks' ideas/thoughts/opinions on TRF. We got folks here that have been collecting and studying these things for decades all the way to those who are just starting to venture into the crazy world of Rolex (and everyone in between). Therefore, it would be fun and educational! For this edition, we have a showdown of a couple special edition Sea-Dwellers. The Deepsea D-Blue reference 116660 and the 50th Anniversary reference 126600.Which do you prefer and why?Previous VERSUS:1. VERSUS: Submariner 1680 v. 166102.
