Explaining The aBlogtoRead.com Good Value, Bad Idea, And Seal Of Approval Award System
New feature starting today on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer. You'll begin to see some award icons on select posts. The system is meant to place emphasis on various products, brands, services, events, innovations, etcthat represent one of three ideals. I am going to be selective when it comes to awarding these icons, so just because an article doesn't have an icon, does not mean it wouldn't necessarily deserve such an award. Now let's become acquainted with the three new icons that you'll begin to see on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer. Note that I am also going to slowly revisit existing articles and award the icons where appropriate. The first icon award is the most straight forward. The "Good Value" Award will be merited when something offers a lot for what it costs. It is not necessarily about something being inexpensive, but rather representing a good value in comparison with the competition and items within the price range. Thus, a $50 watch might not be a good value, because you can get the

Advice on pricing used 14790ST
All, I would like to ask your assistance in pricing a watch I am helping my employer sell. The watch has been worn and used. Unfortunately the box, papers, manual have been discarded. I did have him pay for a certificate of authenticity from the AP Boutique on 57th St in Manhattan / NYC.The model number is 14790ST.OO.0789ST.09, E-series - Caliber 2225 36 Jewels, and described as Dark Blue Big TAP. AP 10 Index Dial, stainless steel case and bracelet with 11 links at 12h and 7 links at 6h - and no spare links, appears to be sized for 6.5 wrist. He has the travel case (or is it AP service case?) and the certificate of authenticity as well as the receipts from AP for the watch with serials for both the watch case and the movement noted. The watch has not been repolished, runs and keeps time properly, winds without issue. I don't know if it has been serviced or not so I'd guess not. I'm told he acquired the piece in the early 2000's.What would be a fair asking price for it? He believe
back in omega family :D
Hello AllI am back in the Omega family and am very happy about it :)..I got the 2531.80, electric blue titanium on Ti Bond bracelet, automatic..it is a wonderful and very beautiful watch for sure...BUT, the real winner for me so far is its AWESOME light weight ..it is so light and comfortable, that I at times forget it is even there...actually, I wear my watch ALL the time, sleeping and all, so it is very important for me to have a light watch and yet a tough one, so this is the best solution I have come across as yet sorry it is almost just a tease to post without pics, but I sure will post pics soon too :Dregards,Asad
New Speedmaster Professional for $2300?
Hey all, I'm looking to buy myself a speedmaster as a Christmas present (buying myself Christmas presents makes me sound like a tool, but I'm not C you understand). I was originally looking at used models, but I would get a new one if the price difference was reasonable. I'm in the military and through some wheeling / dealing, and strategic use of online coupon codes and opening store credit cards, I can get a new Speedmaster Professional for about $2300. To me that sounds like a great deal! However, I've never bought a watch new and am by no means a pricing expert. Is this as good of a deal as it sounds like or really nothing out of the ordinary? Thanks and happy holidays!-Scott
