Victorinox Redesigns the AirBoss
On an aircraft carrier, the air boss is the officer who decides every takeoff and landing. For 2011, the new Victorinox AirBoss is simpler in its design, and slightly smaller at 42mm. The look three hands, three circles of digit tracks, and a date window at 6 o'clock emphasizes precision, readability and functionality. Find pricing and wallpaper inside. Victorinox says the AirBoss is a classic example of second-glance timepiece design. The first glance tells you “pilot-inspired look”. The second glance catches details like the beveled two-surface inner bezel, the raised arabics with luminous inside skeletonized metal frames, and the tiny, circular, diamond-cut grooves in the dial that tell you someone paid careful attention here. The overall effect says understated, functional, reliable, precise, and Swiss. The case is satin-brushed 316L stainless steel, water-resistant to 100 meters. The crystal is scratch-resistant triple-coated anti-reflective sapphire. The Swiss-ma
Please help in directing me to a new pp
Ok Mates, here it is... I am looking to spend no more than 50K (+- 10K) for another PP. This will be my last one. I currently have the 5167 on rubber and it is probably the best sports watch, all purpose PP I have ever owned. After combing the previous posts I have narrowed my choices to the following pieces, but want to make sure I haven't left any potential suitors out of the lineup. I am only interested in white gold and know that everyone's extensive knowledge can only help me choose what will be my last PP. BTW, I am looking to purchase new since I want my name on the certificate. I plan on passing the watch down several years down the road which is one reason for this. 5205 - Nice, but not thrilled with the dial choices. Afraid that they will get washed out at night and I will have difficultly reading them. 5146G cream - Top contender, however I am concerned that it may be too modern of a look. Dial is not too cluttered. 5396G - Very nice. Somewhat thicker than the 514
2nd Panerai
Last year I purchased my 1st Panerai, pan 88. I wish to add a 2nd to my collection and would like some opinions. I would like to get something very different from the 88, Although the Radiomir are incredible--I was thinking a carbotech or a submariner. I think a 47m is large for my 7in wrist. Your thoughts? thanks in advance
Help! FPJ CB + Seadweller 126600 OR ALS 1815 Flyback Chronograph (Pulsation Dial)
Howdy,I have been struggling with my next watch decision severely over the last few months and have decided to enlist the overwhelming expertise of this forum. In order to commemorate a milestone in my life I have given myself a budget of $35k or so to get myself a watch (or watches). I currently own a 16710 Pepsi, an IWC Portuguese, and a Speedy - this new addition would clearly be a large step up for my collection. I think I have narrowed it down to two options:1. F.P. Journe Chronometre Bleu and a Seadweller 50th anniversary 126600 This is the combination I thought I would be getting as I had been set on the CB for a while; I think the tantalum combined with the almost magical blue dial is really something special. Add on FPJ's storied watchmaking history and the rarity of his pieces and I thought I had a winner. The Seadweller I have never tried on in the flesh (hard to find!) but have always wanted a little more beefy version of my GMT - especially one in ceramic. The red lettering
Is it a fair trade? YM2 for a Blue Sub
I have a friend who is wanting to work a trade with me in my 116681 YM2 2tone w/ Rose Gold. He wants to give me $6K plus a 116613LB Submariner. Would you do this trade? Do you think it's a fair trade? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
