Hoptroff Atomic Watches: Now In Wearable Sizes
After presenting the wrist-worn No. 16 atomic clock watch about a year ago, Richard Hoptroff is back with the Hoptroff No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 atomic wrist watches that he claims are now "wearable." What I am actually spending the most time thinking about is how the Number 16 watch came before numbers 1, 2, and 3. But perhaps, that is for a different time. Right now, the focus is on these three new timepieces that contain what Hoptroff claims are the latest in small-sized atomic clock technology. So what does wearable mean? The Hoptroff No. 16 was almost 84mm wide and looked like two watches welded to one another side-by-side. The Hoptroff No. 1, 2, and 3 atomic watches have a more traditional rectangular case that is clearly shaped as such to contain the electronics inside. The case is available in rhodium-plated brass or 18k yellow gold for each of the watches and is 52mm wide by 42mm tall and rather chunky at 19.5mm thick. Even though these are still quite large measurements, in his
Giveaway: Marvin M107 or M103 Automatic Chronograph Watch
I am very excited to bring you a special watch giveaway here at aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer. This month you can enter to win your choice of either of the above two mechanical chronograph watches from Swiss Marvin watches. These are the Marvin M107 (in the rectangular case), and the M103 (in the round case). I actually reviewed the M103 here - and it is really a great watch. I wanted to offer either of them because they have same Swiss Valjoux 7750 automatic movement inside, and are very close in price. It is up to the winner watch model he/she prefers. What more can I say? These are two excellent timepieces, with a movement that no watch lover should be without in their collection. The Marvin M107 retails for $1,860, and the Marvin M103 retails for $1,790. I anticipate this being a popular giveaway, so enter below with your best response. To Enter You Must: 1. DSOTM strap question
Has anyone ever tried to put the black strap from a DSOTM onto a standard speedmaster pro? I know that strap is 21mm and the standard moon watch has 20mm lugs, but was wondering if anyone ever tried it (when I had a FOIS I was able to use 20mm straps despite it having a 19mm lug width, but the DSOTM strap might be too thick to compress?)Anyway, any help would be appreciated
Anyone on this forum own the new 1312
Be great to see some pics ...Thanks
New Root Beer should really be the Espresso?!
The only think linking this new model to the old is the brown portion of the bezel. The original Root Beer had a light brown dial and either all brown, or brown and yellow bezel. Not a black dial and black and brown bezel. I'm calling this the espresso....even if nobody else does
