Jaeger-LeCoultre is putting its Master Compressor Extreme World Chronograph to the test on the wrist of Greek motorbike racer Vasilis Orfanos during the world's toughest and most demanding motorsports race: the Dakar Rally 2011. The race runs from January 1-16 in Argentina and Chile. The riders will cover a total of 9,500 kilometers across difficult terrain. This is Vasilis Orfanos' 5th participation in the Dakar Rally. The latest iteration follows the release of the last QP wristwatch in 2012 with an upgraded and upsized movement, a slightly more complicated display, clearer dial, and larger case size. Decided to change things up with my Speedy
ALBUM HEREThis is a before and after of my Speedmaster 3570.50. I picked up a (what I though was white at the time) silver dial and black hands for my speedy. I love the original black dial and white hands, but I wanted something a little different to change things up. I know this will upset the purists, and a lot of people will not like the look, but I love it. I think down the line I might pick up some silver hands to replace the black, but I like the contrast for the time being. The watch shop I had it done at said it was the first time they've ever seen something like this, which I LOVED to hear.Thanks for looking!
