Introducing: The Radiomir 1940 Automatic In 42 MM, And Three Other New Releases From Panerai
Panerai came storming out of the gates at Watches & Wonders 2015 in Hong Kong. Not only did it release a long awaited piece in a slimmer, more constrained size while upgrading its hardware, but it also upgraded a few other models in its Radiomir lineup – be they simple timekeeping pieces or haute complications. The Radiomir 1940 3 Days Automatic C 42 MM (PAM 620) This watch has been anticipated for some time. In a sense, it may even have been overdue given the seemingly simple combination of precursory features that consumers had petitioned for after seeing them individually scattered among other releases. We saw a great 1940 Radiomir in the PAM00512 back in 2013, which measured 42 mm and sported the in-house manual P.999 with 60-hour reserve.Last year, when the 1940 went automatic, the size went up to 45 mm – and when the price decreased to [a negotiable] four figures, the diameter didn't follow. Increased Hulk stock after Basel?
Suddenly I see a lot of thread influx of folks claiming to be offered Hulk and purchasing one. I recently dropped by my AD to talk about SS Pepsi and he suggested do you need Hulk? What's up with these? (He offered me Deepsea Black as well but said will try JC version if I really need one). So, did they have lot of Hulks in stock and after Basel when folks show up they offer them or Rolex produced more to keep folks happy for time being? Your thoughts?
Could this be a sneak preview of Basel Rolex Sub Black DLC and Gold Hercules116613?
Saw this on Fleabay and like the way it looks. I really like the date disc in black and gold. The black and gold really works for me.Black & Gold Submariner 116613I wonder about DLC - Would clear DLC coating on all models models create a buzz if Rolex announced they would be doing this at Basel? They would be more scratch resistant. Then with the policy of removing stickers now seemingly falling into place, they won't have to worry as much about staff scratching the new in box watches at ADs.
