Autodromo Watches
If you fancy yourself as much a Gearhead as a Watchnerd, you may already be aware of?Autodromo. They are a recently formed watch brand which seeks to combine modern and affordable watch making practices with an?aesthetic?taken directly from classic motoring and ready to be paired with your Italian driving slippers and finest driving gloves for that perfect top-down experience. This isn't a unique concept, but it is worth mentioning again in this brand's case. Autodromo makes a number of quartz-powered watches that have been designed to be reminiscent of the gauges seen in vintage?race and sports cars?of the 1960's and 70's. Autodromo says they make "Instruments for Motoring" and it seems that they have the product styling to back up that claim and to catch the interest of any ardent car fan or motorsport maven. They certainly aren't the only ones to do so, but they might be one of the best options for those on a budget. This is not exactly a new formula as many famous watches have been
Short Diver strap for Aerospace?
I contacted my Breitling dealer (Tourneau) to order a short diver strap (Any version) and the sales guy told me that none of the diver straps come in short length. Is that true? Do you guys have an aftermarket quality source? I have a 2001 Aerospace 20mm.Thanks.
my god i think i made a grave mistake..
i know its a lil too late to regret what i did yesterday...but hell since i cant let it out towards my wife ..i'll let it out here...i bought her a quatz movement aqua terra ...i just do not understand why would she pick that over a planet ocean/seamaster ...does that make any sense to be picking up a quatz movement over an automatic...??i even offer her to pick up a breitling heritage 38 yet she still dont get it... i think i'll rant over this for the rest of the week...
Band ruined by mall vendor - advice needed!
Hi all,I did a really dumb thing and let a vendor in a mall who asked if I wanted my watch cleaned for free polish it with a some sort of cloth. He polished it so much that the graded finish on the band is now highly polished!! It looks terrible!I took it to a really good watch maker Melbourne where I live and he said that the graded / matte finish is done by the factory and he doubts that anyone here in Australia can fix it - not even the official swatch service centre that handles Omega service for australia! I'm really disappointed about this, any advice?Should I buy a new band? If so, from where and how much might this cost? Thanks for your help!
50th Anniversay Sub back from 2nd Rolex Service
I just picked up my 50th Anniversary Submariner which I have owned for almost 10 years from the Rolex Boutique here in Southern California. This was the 2nd time I had taken it back to them for a service within 3 months. It was not even close on accuracy after the first service. The dealer said they would ship it back to Dallas to have them recalibrate it again. So essentially I was without the watch for nearly 4 months. I asked them if they could expedite it since it took 8 weeks the first time and it wasn't serviced correctly but they said No, it will take another 8 weeks. It was a disappointing experience. The store seemed like they could care less. I have no idea if they even sent it back for a recalibration. I hope so! I am going to check the accuracy but I guess in the future I should take it directly to Rolex in Beverly Hills or ship my watches myself. Has anyone else had a poor experience with Rolex service? Has anyone bypassed the AD stores? I know some prefer independent s
