Seiko Premier Kinetic Perpetual Watch For 2010
For the last few years Seiko has not only been impressing me with their sport watches, but also their more formal offerings. The recently (over the last few years) revamped Premier collection has a number of attractive looking pieces for both men and women. The watches have a smooth gracefulness to the case design, along with a very modern size. I fear that most "classy" watches out there are still too small for my tastes, but this timepiece is an exception. At 43mm wide, the size feels very proper given the style of the watch. Last year the big release in the Premier watch collection was the Moon Phase Direct Drive that I discussed here. I loved the amount of complications that it injected into the design as well as the inclusion of the Kinetic Direct Drive movement. This model before you is in rose gold-toned steel, offering a less complex dial, and a more affordable price. The movement is a Seiko Kinetic Perpetual Auto Relay. The quartz movement has an "accumulator" like a battery, an
Sotheby's To Auction Patek Philippe
Between vintage watches Patek Philippe, are outstanding examples of perpetual calendar REF. 3448, including a particularly rare "Senza Luna" variation has not display phase of typical Moon presented in this reference. Rolex is represented by some Oyster Perpetual models particularly sought after in the range of sports. Such a model is a watch Submariner in 1974 for the Royal Navy, featuring a number of details special for robust use, including the bars welded strap and a mechanism of software piracy to enable troops to synchronise their watches prior to a mission. An example of a timepiece "COMEX" Sea-Dweller, to 1977 is also to offer.
Created by Rolex in association with the firm of specialty COMEX diving, this model Oyster Perpetual uses a patented valve release helium for dives of saturation. It is sold by its owner - a professional diver who joined the COMEX in 1981 and used the previous day in several of its missions with the company. A millennium of George Daniels shows attra
Pateks 2nd hand above retail
So it seems the message boards are active with all the talk about upcoming 5711/12 steel price increases and concern whether it is selective or will be across the board on all Nautilus or all sport or all steel or all men's, etc etc models. It would seem to me that if the goal were to diminish the 2nd hand/grey market-reseller position, then PP price increases would be selective to those models that resell for a premium greater than retail price. This isnt a perfect science however as the 5712/1A tends to sell slightly below retail and it appears to be subject to the price increase. We all know about 5711 being the prototypical example selling for 40-60% premium above retail. BUT, what are the other models in similar situations and what percent above retail do they resell for?
The real blue gives life more brightness ....

1st Rolex Purchase Advice. (Update)
We'll what an eventful and fruitful day, travelled to our capital city of Cardiff in pursuit of my first choice a seadweller anniversary, if that was not going to be possible, which it became abundantly clear (5 year waiting list at Fraser Hart) then I was prepared to consider the DSSD black or my favourite out of the 2 the DSSD deep blue. After speaking with the dealer at Fraser Hart I enquired about waiting lists for the black and blue only to be told roughly 6 weeks which I was prepared to wait.I along with my good lady attended at Watches of Switzerland and was told a story that was very similar, during my conversation with the dealer Anita, her colleague informed her that a deep blue version was available for me to try, but it was to be purchased tomorrow by someone who had bought a DSSD black whilst the blue was on order, I tried the watch on, fell in love with it, put my name on their list and left the store content with what I was going to eventually purchase. My wife and I went t
