The good folks at the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, for you non-Canadians) have aired a short audio documentary chronicling Canada's last watchmakers school - The ��cole Nationale de L'horlogerie. This Qu��bec-based school is quite small, only three teachers and no more than 15 students, but it represents Canada's last watchmaking stand and its graduates are still in high demand.The segment, titled "You Can Put Time in Your Hands" was produced by David Gutnick and looks to highlight the slowly disappearing discipline of craft watchmaking, especially within the Canadian context. The school's future is in jeopardy as it is supported by the Quebec government and may soon lose its funding. The piece mixes history, human interest and current market information into a story about the people and conditions surrounding the creation of hand-built watches. Dilemma - APROC RG or AP NOV SS
Hi Friends...So I have narrowed down my choices to the AP ROC RG and the AP Nov in Steel... I dropped the AP Nov Ceramic coz very simply I feel its way overpriced.I have a couple of shots below and I would like to know what you guys think... Both are very different watches so it is important to know that at the moment my only watch is the Omega Planet Ocean which is my daily beater... I had a FC Novelty earlier and had sold it expecting to pick up an all-ceramic but the price has put me off...I know the ROC RG is great with formals but do you think it will be good for weekend wear... I have attached a pic in jeans and a t-shirt which is what I usually like to wear.... I know the ideal choice is an AP Nov RG but seriously out of my budget at this time.....What do you guys think? Would you go with the ROC RG (black face or white face) or Nov SS considering this would be the onlty watch for some time and considering I'm more of a casual type of person....Thanks for your comments in advanc

Breitling ladies starliner 2008
Hi I purchased a Breitling 3 yrs ago it was up for sale ?5750 .I negotiated it down to ?4250 and bought it now after 3 yrs and little wear my wife wants a new watch so I emailed a large watch buyer who offered me between ?800/?1000.I dont normally sell the watches I buy so is this very low or normal for a Breitling after 3 yrsThe Breitling is a Starliner finished in Stainless Steel with Pink MOP dial with Diamond hour markers complete with Diamond bezel it has the pilot bracelet all boxes papers etc.What do you think .
