Hands-On: A Spectacular, Vintage-Inspired Unique Piece From The Extremely Piaget Collection
Today, when you hear the name Piaget, you probably think of the caliber 12P, the Altiplano, or insane diamond bracelet watches like the Limelight Aura. However, you may not be familiar with the incredible vintage designs for women’s watches that the brand was well known for in the 1960s and '70s. These pieces were not only gorgeous, but were also very innovative for the time. 1 OF 11 2 OF 11 After seeing several cool vintage Piaget pieces come across my desk while at Sotheby’s, I always hoped that Piaget would revive these designs, as I felt they would undoubtedly be a success. Amazing accuracy 2531.80
My Seamaster Professional 300m (2531.80) hadn't been getting much wrist time in the past year for whatever reason. I travel a lot, and always wear my Rolex GMT Master II (16710 with a Pepsi bezel) when on a business trip. I like to easily see my home time zone at a glance without thinking. At home, I generally wear my Seiko Marinemaster (SBDX001) as a daily wearer. It has a great wrist presence and wears nicely for its large size. I felt nostalgic for the Seamaster, and have been wearing it the past two weeks while on vacation. I had it last serviced by Omega three years ago, and it's keeping great COSC time. I set it to the atomic clock and have been checking it daily at the same time. It's running at +.01 sec / day. The 1120 movement is simply amazing. I love this watch and will never sell it.
live from Paris.
I' m currently in Paris and had the chance to test the mighty Solar Impulse. I have to say I' ve been absolutely stunned by it's look and comfort. What a watch !! I wish I haven't got the Aquatimer a month ago.Any lucky owner ?
