Omega Debuts New Planet Ocean Collection and Announces Film Project in Capri (Video)
Omega chose the Italian island of Capri to debut its upgraded Planet Ocean collection. The four new watches are equipped with unidirectional rotating bezels, helium escape valves and water resistance to 60 bar / 600 meters / 2000 feet. The in-house co-axial movements with silicon balance springs are backed by a four-year warranty. Find details and stunning wallpaper images inside.UPDATED: Pricing and launch dates added. Its 45.50mm case is made of grade 5 titanium, meaning that this lightweight element has been alloyed with small amounts of aluminum and vanadium and is particularly hard. It can also be polished to a brighter luster than other grades of titanium. It has a striking blue ceramic bezel whose scaling and numbers are made of zirconium-based alloy
An Insurance Provider's List Of The Top 20 Watches Of All Time
If you happen to stumble upon the website MoneySupermarketwatches-dealer you probably won't think it has anything to do with watches. It doesn't, acting as a sort of aggregator for insurance providers for its audience. However, one of their marketing people (Karl) is a pretty serious watch lover (and proud watches-dealer reader). As a way of trying to tie together what his employer does with his love of watches, he came up with his own list of the top 20 watches everas a way of lightly suggesting "you might want to think about getting your timepiece collection insured."While every "top watches" list is going to be subjective, we felt that there was a lot of merit to his list; representing an interesting collection of pieces over time, as well as a range of styles, values, and feature sets. In a nutshell, this is a well-rounded list from someone who has clearly given this a lot of thought. An watches-dealer top 20 watches of all time list would likely vary, but some of these watches wou
Thoughts on Women's Watches
I'm looking for a gift for my wife's birthday and have looked at the Patek Nautilus' and the 4910 line (quartz). The 4910 is a good looking watch but I just can't bring myself to buy a quartz watch at that price. Does anyone have thoughts on the 4910 line and any suggestions for women's watches?
Should future value threads be banned?
This morning I read a future value thread inquiring what % of a portfolio should be in watches (my fault for reading). Obviously, some members like these threads and some do not. And I mean no disrespect to those who do like these threads, but....I know that this is not a democracy and we do not get to vote on what threads are permitted. I also know that the moderators already do a thankless job and have more on their plate than we can imagine. So it would probably not be practicable. But....If this was a democracy, would you vote to ban future value threads?
One last wild prediction the night before Basel 2018
Maybe this is just wishful thinking but I am predicting a new dial option..I would like to see a RED DIAL on the YG DAY DATE 40.Mark my words, if said dial is announced I am ordering day 1.Goodnight and let's see what tomorrow brings
