New purchase....
Couldn't resist this one, not Rolex this time but damn is this watch beautiful to look at. When I set it next to my DSSD it makes it look like a Submariner.
Squint Omega Watch
Do you remember the Omega with the 12 o'clock at 3 o'clock ? I think Isaw it in the late 60's or early 70's and I can't remember what it was called.I couldn't afford it then and had to make do with a $15 Seiko , which I stillhave and is keeping great time, I am getting all nostalgic now. What was it called and does anyone have pictures?
Moving a 114060 for 14060
Hey folks. Wanted to get some additional input before making a move in my collection. Thinking about selling my 114060 for a 14060. Has anyone made a similar move and regretted the shift? I think the 14060 May sit a bit better on the wrist for a suit at work, but would love to hear people's experiences with the two. Also, are you giving anything up on the trade in terms of functionality or have people found the 14060 to be as durable?
Sea Dweller randomly stopped running... then was fine...?
Something odd happened tonight.I was getting dressed for the evening and I when I looked at my watch at around 6:18 it was still at 6, almost like my minute hand stopped but the second hand was still running. When I looked at the watch it was at 6 and it clearly wasn't stuck, it advanced to 6:01 as I watched it. I've been wearing it all day so I don't see how it wouldn't have been wound, but that's the only answer, right? That the reserve ran out? It's a 1999 sea dweller that I got back last week from a service when it was corrected from running almost +15s a day down to +3 a day. It's been running good and keeping great time since. Anyone have any thoughts? Should I just not worry about it?
