A Week On The Wrist: The IWC Mark XVIII
The first time I ever read anything about the IWC Mark series, it was thanks to (of course) everyone's favorite non-watchmaker watch writer, the inimitable Walt Odets, who in his series, "Tweaking The Mark XII" called that particular Mark "every non-pilot's favorite pilot's watch." (I call Mr. Odets a non-watchmaker but of course, while he might not be a card-carrying full time professional, he obviously is a guy who knows his way around a movement, to put it mildly.) I wasn't so much interested in the Mark XII as I was interested in what you'd do to tweak a movement so as to wring the best possible precision out of it, at least at first, but like many, I gradually began to find the simplicity, clarity, legibility, and history of the Mark XII irresistible and like many, I've followed the evolution of the Mark series ever since then with avid interest. 1 OF 6 2 OF 6 Overall, the Mark XVIII is one of those watches that you can simply wear every day, without taking an

pam 51 need service
Happy New Year to every one ! My eight years old pam 51 is running -10 sec/day , time to get it service. Does anyone have any recommendations for a watchmaker in Chicago or out of state ? Thanks . Btw love my pam 51.
368?
So I thought I was content as far as Panerai goes but I primarily blame Ken's recent pics of his 217 in rekindling my interest. :bang head:I've always loved the 368 and had forgotten about it for a while. Now I'm borderline obsessing. 47mm destro in titanium. Not sure who to credit this pic to that I had saved. You don't see too many out there but feedback and opinions are appreciated.I've been looking into a few options. 368 being at the top right now. Also considering the 372 or 305 (had it for a while and loved it but sold a while back).
Daytona 116520 Series Question
I'm a bit of a noob in terms of the 116520 variations. I understand there are differences from production years (dial variation, lume, clasp, rehaut, fat hands, etc).My question would be for you experts, in general which year is most/least sought after?Thank you.
