Size for RO
Wanted to know if any members here knew why the standard size of 40mm is not offered on ANY ROs (not including the ones from years ago)? I've seen modern RO at 39mm, 41mm, 44mm. Anybody know why AP doesn't use a standard 40mm case size? Does Rolex have a patent on this size case? I know they use 40 for many of their models.
Omega Flightmaster
I have had this vintage Flightmaster since the 1970s and am wondering if, considering the cost, it is worth restoring. The crystal is scratched. Watch is not running. Any comments would be appreciated.

Seamaster vs. Speedmaster for an everyday wearer ??
Good day all, I did a quick search, and this question never came up (that or I overlooked it lol). Anyway, in the recent future, I plan on adding another Omega to my stable. I already have the Seamaster 2531.80 bond watch, and absolutely love it. However, I don't want to put heavy wrist time on that watch, and want to buy another one for a daily beater. It would be on my wrist 23 hours of the day, 7 days a week. I work in the retail industry, so the watch will not be desk diving, but it won't be getting all beat to crap everyday of the week ether. I always go to the beach at least 5 times in the year, and love to swim (I NEVER dive). I guess that's about it. I LOVE the Planet Ocean 45.5mm 600M dive watch, but I also like the Speedmaster moon watch. Not so much because of the style of the watch (even though it too looks good) but becusae of the history behind it, the manual wind, non-sapphire Chrystal, etc. So, I don't know, for a daily watch that can handle it in the field everyday, wh
One week with my new patek
Well ive owned the 5167 for a week now and just wanted to update on how im feeling about it. First. I love this thing...but I can honestly say that while I stated this was going to be my grail piece...it will not be. Rather im setting my next patek bar kind of high and will only purchase it in about another 10 years (when I pass 40 and purchase my second home.) Im glad I took you guys' advice and skipped the B&R for now. I still want it to fill in a gap in my collection, and will still be purchasing it probably the end of this year for Christmas. On to the watch1) Love the look of it. The dial is beautiful and I swear I can stare at the movement for hours. 2) Ive worn it out 2 times now. Once out to dinner and another for some drinks. Both with the GF. No stares and no one even notices it. Makes me worry about it less. 3) Its keeping time well. I feel that when adjusting time and winding that the movement is faaar more delicate than my rolex...and im taking extra care to be gentle
