vintage breitling: did i goof?
hi guys!on a recent bus trip to milan, i was passing by a window shop and saw about 15 - 20 vintage high end watches 50 + yrs old... including Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, Ulysse Nardin, Breitling, Omega, etcthe shop was in a 'non touristy' part of town, in a pretty quiet section of town actually...i was intrigued...i went inside to discover that it was actually a service center (therefore, not primarily sales oriented) and the technician there, would buy old watches from his customers and resellwell.... despite not knowing much (i am new to the watch fixation...) ... i took the chance and bought one... he told me it is a breitling self winding chrongraph from year 1960- also, gave me a 1 yr guarantee of his owni thought it was beautiful it is much nicer than the pics i'm attaching (not very talented with the camera )i paid 1200 euro for it (not at all an insignificant amount, for me) it was totally an impulsive buyshould i regret it? does it look fake? not worth the money i paid? any

Omega Service Centers??????
One of the things I like reading about Rolex is that after years of abuse/wear you can send it back to a service center and for about $500 you get a fixed up shiny new watch.How does this work with Omega. Let's say I buy a Seamaster for my daily beater. If I send it back to Omega for service, what can I expect? I'm still getting a Rolex, I'm just curious about what Omega does as their watches aren't cheap either. (well a little).

Where to get watch valued for insurance?
UK based, just purchased an 'off the shelf' rolex. Put it on house insurance as a named item with high value etc. They are asking for a valuation certificate. Contacted a few places and they are telling me I need to leave it with them for a few days, etc, which I am not comfortable with.Is this normal procedure?This is basically a rolex that is widely availaible worldwide. I was hoping i could just get a valuation issued on the spot somewhere.Any advice would be great, thanks
