Damasko DC66 Review
In the world of independent watches, brands like Damasko stand out. Small, family owned and operated, they produce a limited amount of watches per year with a focus on quality and technology that surpasses most brands many times their size. Though in a year, they might produce a fraction of what other sport watch brands do, and their name is not on buses or on shelves in watch shops across the US, Damasko still manages to produce truly exceptional pieces of engineering and for a good value too. And I mean value in the true sense. You get something of quality that exceeds its price tag, not something for as little as possible. As such, Damasko is a favorite around w&w, with this being our third review of their watches. If you're familiar with the brand, you'll know they focus on modern pilot's watches and chronographs. While they have a bunch of models, the differences between them are often slight. With and without bezel, with and without PVD, a different color hand, etc The dials
Royal Oak vs Daytona
Hi everybody, I need advice on choosing between the Royal Oak 15400ST and the Daytona 116520. This will be my first watch and I am hoping to be wearing it daily. I just graduated from university and this watch will be important to me. I will not be selling it in the future. The prices for both watches seem quite close so I have having a hard time deciding. I really like the design of the Daytona and have dreamed of owning this watch for a long time. The Daytona seems to be more durable as a daily wearer. However, The simplicity of the Royal Oak's dial and overall quality is appealing. How do these movements hold up and the servicing costs for these two watches compare? I haven't heard anything bad about the Daytona's movement. I have seen couple threads about the AP RO. I was also wondering if the current Daytona design will be changed soon. I feel like I can always buy a 15400ST later since its only been around for couple years. However, I feel like if I choose the Rolex, it is such a
APBands conversion kit for 15400
Hey guys,A quick questions for the experts out there. I've searched for a while before making this post, found some answers but not all. Here is my dilemma;Have a Royal Oak 15400 41mmHave the APBANDS RO conversion linksHave an OEM croc strap from a 15300 (39mm?)So the APBANDS links fit and screw into my 15400 just fine. The problem I'm having is the fitment to the 15300 Croc strap. It's almost as if the little notch that sits inside the OEM strap insert is ever so slightly too long.My question is: Does this 15300 strap that I have differ in any way from an OEM strap I should be using for my 15400 model?? It ALMOST fits, seems as though it is .5mm or so off when attempting to push the lug bar through the strap/links. Any help would be appreciated
Audemars Piguet Boutique in Singapore
Hi All,I am actually set on buying my 2nd Rolex ( probably an Explorer ) but I have also been browsing this section of the forum and looking at all the beautiful AP watch photos, I am getting really curious about this brand as well and will like to check it out.As I am going back to Singapore later this week to pick up some accessories from my Rolex AD in Orchard Road, as well as to check out the Explorer, I will like to make a detour to the AP boutique located not far away before I decide. For those that have frequent or purchase from this place, can you post here or PM me the AP Singapore boutique's salesperson contact details? Will very much appreciate that so that I can make some inquiries or perhaps make an appointment. Thanks!
