Introducing: The Limited Edition Zenith El Primero Chronomaster, In Partnership With The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association
Last February 18th, Zenith announced that it would partner this year with the Sports Car Vintage Racing Association, and we were on hand as the partnership was announced. We got together with Zenith right here in downtown Manhattan at the Manhattan Classic Car Club, which makes a wide range of vintage and exotic sports cars available to members (you know, in case you don't happen to have $11 million to spare for your own GT40 – or as is more likely, if you just like variety). 1 OF 9 It's a big year for Zenith in terms of automotive partnerships; HODINKEE's European Editor Arthur Touchot interviewed Zenith CEO Aldo Magada earlier this year at the Royal Automobile Club, on the occasion of the presentation to the press of the El Primero Chronomaster Hero Cup. We'll be hearing more from Zenith about their partnership with the SVRA, which is now in its 38th racing season and in 2016, plans a total of 16 events that will involve, the organization says, ove
Seamster De Ville legit?
.ebay.ca/itm/271095087822?...=p5197.c0.m619I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive vintage seamaster de ville. Are there any of you that could potentially identify whether this watch is legit and maybe narrow down when it was manufactured? It states that the dial was professionally redone whatever that means. Perhaps a good estimate on how much you would be willing to pay for this?I believe 2 movements were produced for this watch caliber 562 and 563. This one is 563 so would that help in identifying the watch? Thanks
What is Patek best at?
They are not best at finishing. They are not best at making the most complicated pieces. They are not best at reliability and QC.What can we objectively say they are best at?I would say they are one of the best at value retention and name recognition. They are best at enameling. They are best at making cases. No one does cases better than patek. So what else can you add to the Best and Not Best list?
You can't make this $#!% up
This story is too comical not to tell.I bought a 5711 white from a Patek AD in April to celebrate my engagement. I open it (shipped from out of state thus lack of pre purchase inspection) to immediately find the dreaded misaligned 12 has marks. Sigh ....I consult with the highlander and ultimately decide in going to send it back to the AD. The AD takes care of it and sends it to HSWA on my behalf and has the watch back on my wrist in 3 weeks! Hooray!I literally started laughing after just catching this now, like some game you play at a dive bar for a dollar. Anyone spot the mistake on my 2nd dial? Come on Patek! Are you just (expletive) with me?!I don't want a refund because this watch has sentimental value. I'm lost for words haha I will say I don't hate them yet, in fact I still love Patek Can they hurry up and hire Bas so they can get their sh!t together??
Is this an Original yellow dial on my 6565 ?
Can't seem to find any 6565 models with colored dials... Def looks original to me just wanted to share/ see what you guys think?
