For Ralph Lauren, the 1920’s elegance and daring spirit of optimism have long been a source of inspiration. For 2012, Ralph Lauren presents two new interpretations of his Art Deco Slim Classique design featuring thin silhouettes, elegant guilloch�� engraving and masterful gem setting. The first new Ralph Lauren 867 watch model places a single row of brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel, set off by a glossy black frame that emphasizes the rectilinear form of the watch.On the second new 867 model, two rows of brilliant-cut diamonds make the bezel sparkle. Diamonds have also been set into the lugs, and a single rosecut diamond adorns the crown.Both models feature traditionally crafted silver opaline dials with strongly-defined black Roman and Arabic numerals. Rolex LVC with Thomas Jefferson's gold pocket watch.Jefferson, the 3rd President, is also a connoisseur of pocket watches. He owned a gold pocket watch made by Daniel Vaucher, a Paris-based watchmaker. Jefferson is thought to have acquired the watch while on a trip to the French city. He later gave this watch to James Monroe, the 5th President. The watch can now be found at the James Monroe Museum in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
