New Seamaster 300M?
Was browsing in the Omega site and noticed the Seamaster 300M both black and blue, come with a new bezel (is it ceramic?) and no waves on the dial?
Value and Authenticity check...
I am not too familiar with Omega so i am asking for some help. Can someone let me know if the below pics of a speedy pro, 50 anniversary model, checks out? Is the band/box complete and consistent with this model? What is a reasonable price for a gently used model? What are some things to check for when tyring to authenticate the watch? Thanks.
PAM 104 Advice
Hello,I'm new to the forum and have enjoyed reading many of the posts. I have a friend who over to sell me his PAM 104. I believe its a 2007 model. As you can see in the picture the crown guard is missing and I would like to have it replaced with an original one. He is willing to sell the PAM 104 with the rubber band and deployment buckle for $2,500. I was thinking that a new replacement crown guard and service would run me another $1000-$1500. IS that an accurate guess. Does anybody know what an OEM crown guard costs? All I have been able to find are replicas on eBay. Thanks in advance for your help.
Need some opinions please (Day Date)
Just looking for some views from everyone on my next pick up. Long story short the Day Date has always been my grail watch and finally it's time to jump on one. Originally I was totally sold on the Pink gold, Green dial 60th Anniversary Day Date but having recently tried on a different Rose gold Day Date I realised that the rose just isn't for me and my skin tone sadly. So now it's yellow gold for me with the gold face, for me the classic Day Date I remembered from my childhood. So it's a 228238 for certain... I was totally set on the numerals as I love how they fill up the dial but I've been offered a great deal on a 228238 with the diamond baton markers. Thoughts please as I really need a few other opinions on this one.
Crystal ball speculations !!
So the more believable rumor is that Rolex under estimated this year's demand (based on previous year sales) which lead to the shortage we live in now and that lead some borders to hord a lot of the daughters after modelsUp until a few months ago the LV, BLNR and other SS models were available (except the Daytona C)With the beginning of the new year and with supply coming to the market (hopefully) that should bring things back to stabilityThe question is........People like myself who have a deposit down on a watch (lv in my case) when/If supply is back, is it smart to buy right away at full MSRP? Or wait and see? Risking not being able to get the same watch again vs waiting and getting it at a discount? My crystal ball is at the shop, anyone's crystal ball working?
