Konstantin Chaykin Genius Temporis Single Hand Watch With A Twist
This is Russian watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin's latest timepiece, and they call it the Genius Temporis, which roughly translates from Latin to "the spirit of our time." That, however, doesn't particularly explain the functionality of this 16th century-style timepiece. What you have is the simple elegance of a single-handed watch with the ability to also know the minutes (on demand) when the wearer chooses.Single-handed watches are not particularly common, but they are popular among certain watch lovers. Long ago, it used to be that pocket watches only had one hand. That was mainly because they were simply not accurate enough to even display the minutes. There was a time when being accurate to 30 minutes a day was pretty good. The inclusion of a minute hand a few hundred years ago was a big deal, and really ushered in the era of modern timekeeping. Considering buying my first AP... Veteran Rolex buyer! Tempt me PLEASE!
Hi GuysI visited a grey dealer today who stocks rolex, AP and Panerai. I went in with the intention of placing an order for a rolex Day Date 2 18k YG and we got speaking about APs. The dealer had on a ROO Rubber Rubber.... well thats what he told me it was called! The dealer said it retailed for ?18,000 but he was able to get me one for ?10,000 brand new. He made a very interesting comment regarding why I should invest in a AP. He said that in his opinion it wasn't sensible to spend over ?10k on a watch that was widely available on the market i.e virtually every rolex model over ?10k. He asked me, Why would I want to wear such an expensive watch that many people owned! He said an AP was a good buy as it was respected a bit more widely and a little more exclusive due to limited units made per year.Should I go with AP? How well do AP hold their value? Is the ROO rubber rubber a good first buy?PLEASE HELP!Especially interested in hearing from owners of both Rolex and AP.I currently own TT

Was browsing in the Omega site and noticed the Seamaster 300M both black and blue, come with a new bezel (is it ceramic?) and no waves on the dial?

Panerai oor
Hi you, Panerai experts. I have been doing my research on some pieces and came across a 217 marked OOR Out of Range production pieces (11 to be exact). Care to illustrate me on what this is? Is this common for Panerai? Does PANERAI do this with all their limited edition pieces and is it worth the extra money?God bless and thanks in advance
