Porsche Sells Eterna to International Volant Limited of China
Today, International Volant Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Haidian, announced that it has acquired all shares in Eterna AG Uhrenfabrik from F.A. Porsche Beteiligungen GmbH. Eterna was founded (under a different name) in 1856, In 1932, Eterna created a subsidiary called ETA to make movements for itself and other watch companies. ETA grew through a series of mergers, and today it is owned by Swatch Group. Eterna was sold several times beginning in 1982, and in 1995 it was purchased by F.A. Porsche Beteiligungen GmbH. In 1998 Eterna began manufacturing watches under the Porsche Design name.Oliver Porsche, managing director of F.A. Porsche Beteiligungen GmbH, says that he is very confident that the new owner will continue the determined path Eterna AG has begun to follow and will further strengthen Eterna AG's position as one of the premium manufacturers of watches.Mr. Hon Kwok Lung, chairman of the buyer, said that this acquisition is an important step in the strategy of Chin
Seiko Astron GPS Solar Chronograph Limited Edition Watches
When it comes to quartz-driven watches that maintain accuracy via some sort of outside reference input, you have traditionally been limited to watches that receive atomic timekeeping signals from observatories around the world. That changed in 2012, with Seiko hooking their watches up to GPS satellites. Two years down the road, we now have a new limited edition Seiko Astron GPS Solar Chronograph?in a "his and her's" design configuration.Debuted at Baselworld 2014, Seiko released a new movement for the Astron. Many times, when we talk about a new movement, we focus on the mechanical side of the house, as those (traditionally) hold the most interest C but that is not to say that quartz movements cannot offer interesting developments. The Astron was an extremely important and highly impressive step forward, and now,?Seiko actually managed to downsize it with their new 8X82 caliber, all the while increasing ease of use (in particular, time zone switching). The size reduction is due mostly
Citizen US Open Limted Edition Tennis Watch
Citizen has announced a special edition watch made to commemorate their 20th year as the official timekeeper for the US Open tennis tournament. The US Open has been around, in one fashion or another, since 1881 and is currently held at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. Being that the US Open is a staple of the international tennis calendar, Citizen is quite proud of their partnership - enter the watch. The 20th Anniversary US Open Citizen Eco-Drive watch can be had in two possible versions sporting slight dial changes and different colored straps (white vs. blue). This new model sports a simple three hand + date design and is powered by an Eco-Drive movement. Measuring a sporty 42mm wide, this tennis-themed timepiece carries the USTA logo on its bright white dial and additional flare is provided by a cross-hatched engraved pattern on the bezel. This new Citizen should look very much at home on the wrist of any tennis fan and will match up nicely with a fresh pair of trainers. Citizen has

312 or 321 for first and only PAM?
I've narrowed it down between these two since the 233 out prices these two by quite a bit.Which would you choose? The 312 has cleaner dial and appears to be more popular (for resale if needed to flip), but 321 has PR, GMT, and less production. Tough choice for me, so I wanted to get your opinions.Does the 312 and 321 have the same case?I may trade my 116234 black diamond dial to fund the PAM.Thanks!
