The Museum of Arts and Design unveiled Object Factory: The Art of Industrial Ceramics, an exhibition documenting contemporary innovation in industrial ceramic production and the renaissance of ceramics in art and design. On view from May 6 through September 13, 2009, Object Factory examines unexpected uses of ceramics as time keeping instruments, kitchen appliances, knives and even digital electronics, all made possible by new technologies. The Grande Seconde Ceramique, which combines a ceramic case with an enamel dial, is the only timepiece in the exhibition. The limitless potential of ceramics��a medium that has been in use for millennia��is underscored by its use in such innovative ways as the housing of watches like the Grande Second Ceramique created by the renowned Jaquet Droz Manufacture. Couple questions on the 2264.50 Quartz Seamaster
I have a couple questions on the 22654.50 Quartz seamaster. Any answers would be appreciated.1) Does the date have a quick set or is the only way to set it is to move the hour hand ahead? Most of my watches I have had had a quick set feature so I am curious if there is one and I am missing it.2) It was originally purchased in 2005 in the orient from a AD with all books, war. card etc. so it is authentic. My question is it came to me with a beautiful dark wood box with the round gold Omega tag on the front and not the red leather one. I am curious if it is the original box or one from another model? I'm thinking in the Orient they came with the wood and in the US the leather.3) Is the AR coating on the inside and outside of the crystal? The book says on inside and outside but I thought I had read that it was only on the inside of the crystal on this model. If also on the outside is it easy to scratch?Thanks for any info.

Don't hear much about the 514/515. Is there a reason why these receive so little attention. I find them quite striking

Is ladies Datejust 36 SS a "sought after" model?
Sorry, I am a newb to Rolexes (I am into other vices :-)). My wife really likes a specific Datejust 36 (model m116200-0070) and as I am doing research, I am seeing that ADs don't really discount sought after models. Before I waste time trying to find AD, who will give me better than MSRP, should I either bother with this watch, or just walk into store in NH (where there is no tax, like in MA) and just get it there?Not looking 2nd hand, since well, my wifey is not interested.
