Hands-On: Comparing The New 39mm And Original 42mm Lambda Watches From NOMOS Glashtte
This year NOMOS Glashütte announced that they were releasing a 39 mm version of the Lambda watch, which had originally launched in 2013 to acclaim but also a certain amount of concern from the NOMOS faithful (and if you’re a NOMOS owner you know what we mean – there is a level of emotional investment that NOMOS wearers feel with the company that’s pretty unusual for any luxury watch brand, and especially unusual at the big-bang-for-the-buck segment that NOMOS generally occupies). The great thing about NOMOS has always been that though they offer one of the best value propositions in the biz, that’s not why people buy them as a general rule – you buy them because all the parts (the in-house movement, great design, well-crafted sense of irony they project) all go to form a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. 1 OF 9 So when NOMOS put out a twenty thousand dollar gold watch with a pretty fancy-schmancy movement in it (a hand en
Trade?
I am trying to decide if I should trade my DSSD V serial & GMT SS/18k Ceramic M serial for a AP ROC 26220ST H serial as an even trade. Is this a good trade , trade both or one ? If trading one which would you trade? BTW I have a WG Smurf which I would never trade in my collection.
Ladies Seamaster DeVille
My wife purchased a ladies Seamaster DeVille watch at a local auction recently. It works well enough but the face could do with a clean. We think the watch is from the '60s. It is an 18mm gold-plated case with a stainles steel back on which is a seahorse with the word SEAMASTER above it and the Omega logo underneath. Under that is the word 'waterproof'. I believe the back is not a screw type but cannot find any crevice in which to insert a small tool to prise it off so that the internal numbers can be checked. Does anybody know when the Seamaster deVille range was made and if there is any other information on this site on the range etc. Thank you.
Omega Military Watches 1960s
I have sourced a 1960 Omega Military Watch Could any of you give mesome information about this watch. I spotted it in a revolving showcase ,all I could make out was that it was S.S. white dial, Arabic numerals, seconds at 6 o'clock. It reminded me of a photo I once saw of a1940 Omega Mil. Watch. The dial has the Broad Arrow Symbol. I forgot to mention, I saw it in another city and I had to catch a train. If any of you can help , I would be very grateful. I am hoping that some of you are real experts and enjoy a challenge. Thank you in advance.
