Klokers-01 And Klokers-02 Watches Launched On Kickstarter
The world is awash with Kickstarter projects. This is good news for fans of watch design, as the emergence of crowd-funding as a viable start-up method has given new hope to small companies with a big dream. The impending release of the Klokers-01 and Klokers-02 watches prove that striking the right balance between innovative design and affordable manufacturing can reap rewards. But with a raft of other options available, do these new products offer value for money when stacked-up against their competitors?Klokers have focused on one of the best selling points of modern indie watch brands: customizability. With a twist and a slide, the whole watch head can be removed from the leather band with ease. There's a neat video on Klokers' Kickstarter page that shows two wearers exchanging their watch heads in a matter of seconds. Not only does the Klokers watch head attach to a traditional strap, but also to a range of other carriers including chains and fobs. Klokers wants to assert the abil
Hamilton Below Zero Diver Watch: Art Deco Industrial Diving Instrument Design
Being an "entry level" nice watch from the Swatch Group, Hamilton has the budget to experiment a great deal with designs. The Hamilton logo itself is art deco in tone, and many vintage Hamilton watches exuded art deco design while the brand was still American owned. With the Below Zero Diver watch, I can see a direction that Hamilton may be going in.Omega (another Swatch Group brand) recently released its new De Ville line of watches, which are classically art deco in design. They are beautiful watches, but with the Below Zero Diver, you get to see art deco industrial in a sport watch. Hopefully we will see more of this trend coming out from under the Swatch Group's umbrella. The ornate detailing around the watch face is all part of the art deco theme. Use of well placed lines to enhance form while adding visual strength to the watch. Large hex screws are used to enhance the powerful look, and hidden lugs move into a vertically lined rubber strap with a secure metal clasp. The face of t

RO 15400 vs. Ceramic Diver (Orange)
Good morning! Does anyone have any comparison pictures of the RO 15400 vs. Ceramic Diver (Orange)? I guess any diver would do but my interest is in the ceramic version. I'm just curious on the difference in size thickness.I have toyed with the notion of flipping my 15400 for one but sadly there are no dealers in Georgia for me to go and compare myself.
Initial advice please
Hello,Not been in here before...more of a Rolex person.I have a pal who is wanting to sell one of his 2 Omegas. The first option is his solid gold Seamaster (would it be 14k or 18k?, we wonder), a vintage piece bought circa late 60's, early 70's. The other is a bimetal Constellation, bought in the mid 90's. The older piece has no original box or papers, but a valuation from an Omega dealer when it was servcied 2 years ago. It sees little daily use. The Constellation is a daily user with original box and also a valuation from the same place.I will be able to put up pictures early next week. Just asking the Omegaisti their views on which one would command a better value, which one would you keep, etc.He is planning to sell one of them and I will try to help him in the FS section. he is a professional man of excellent standing, btw, I can vouch for him.Thanks,Michael.
