On The Dash Publishes A Comprehensive Collector's Guide To The Heuer Autavia, Which Is, Needless To Say, Totally Awesome
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Jeff Stein and his OnTheDash is something really special in the vintage Heuer community. It is, without a doubt, the thought-leader in the space, full of honest (rare in the watch world) assessments and analysis of the ever growing culture of vintage Heuer chronographs. Today, Mr. Stein has published a fascinating look at the Autavia, in all its incarnations, with glances at differentiating specific models, which are most collectible and why, famous wearers of the Autavia, and pricing trends. Even if you have just a passing interest in the original Heuer racer's watch, this is worth a read.Check out Jeff Stein's collector's guide to the Heuer Autavia here.
Worthwhile vintage buy? Omega Cosmic Moonphase ref 2606
Hi everyone, I have wanted for some time to grab a vintage Omega - and I came across this Cosmic that was recently serviced. It doesn't strike me as having seen a lot of polish time and the parts look original. Just wanted to get some thoughts on whether this is a good buy. The dial has marks in a few different areas, not sure how this will age, so quite hesitant.
new patek 5119rg
I am fortunate enough to finally obtain my 1st Patek & it's a 5119 rg from David SW. Excellent seller and very easy transaction. I initially wanted a 5119 in white gold, but after seeing it in person, was a little underwhelmed. There weren't any yellow gold available and then I saw the RG model & it's beautiful! I hope these pictures with the attachments come out. 36mm is not small at all for my wrists and it appears a perfect size for a dress watchDSC_0437.jpgDSC_0436.jpg
Anyone have a Luminor and a SubC?
I am guessing since this is a Panerai subforum of the Rolex forum that the answer is yes. I would love to see some pictures (either wrists or side by sides) or stories from those that do.I currently have a 560.I am going to a two watch collection, and was initially thinking adding a Polar Explorer 2, since I am typically OCD about watch sizes being similar in a collection. With my 7.5 wrist, I have owned everything fro 38mm to 45.5mm, but I tend to not have dissimilar sizes in the same collection.Does the SubC feel small when switching from the PAM?ThanksGreg
