Vacheron Constantin Adds 14-Day Tourbillon to its Platinum Collection
In 2006, Vacheron Constantin became the first watch brand to dedicate an entire collection to platinum timepieces. This year, the venerable brand adds a version of its Patrimony Traditionnelle 14-Day Tourbillon to its Collection Excellence Platine.Like other watches in Vacheron’s Platinum Collection, the new Patrimony Traditionnelle 14-Day Tourbillon uses 950 platinum considered the noblest of metals, with a purity of 95 percent compared to 75 percent for 18k rose gold for not only its 42-mm case, but also its dial and even the threads in the watch’s leather strap. The elegant, clean dial has slightly off-centered hours and minutes hands, an aperture for the tourbillon at 6 o’clock and a power-reserve indicator at 12 o’clock. The power-reserve display features a “trailing” or “dragging” hand to indicate the remaining energy in the mainspring on an arc-shaped scale that is evenly divided into 14 segments one for each day in the excep
Bamford x The Rodnik Band Snoopy Customized Rolex Limited Edition Watch
Those interested in the sometimes wacky world of after-market modified Rolex watches should take note of this new limited edition Bamford Watch Department x The Rodnik Band Snoopy Rolex Datejust watch. Once again, Bamford is working with fashion label The Rodnik Band on a Charles Schulz's Peanuts-inspired watch, with both Snoopy and Woodstock on the dial this time. This newest Bamford Watch Department (BWD) x The Rodnik Band Snoopy watch uses a base Rolex Datejust (36mm wide), while their previous collaboration used a modified and black-colored Rolex Milgauss with Snoopy on the dial. That previously-produced limited edition came in a 40mm-wide case with Snoopy on the dial wearing sunglasses. For this newest watch, we have a more celebratory Snoopy (again with his arms as the watch hands) and Woodstock the bird at the end of the seconds hand against a black face.Speaking of hands, on this Bamford Watch Department x The Rodnik Band Snoopy customized Rolex Datejust watch, they are quite sh
Exclusive: New Marcello C. Diavolo Automatic Watch
Here is the brand new Marcello C. Diavolo Automatic, a three hand version of the Diavolo Chronograph that was released last year. I reviewed the Marcello C. Diavolo Chronograph here to my delight. Marcello C. chose to take a very different direction with the Diavolo Automatic, and the result looks very interesting and attractive similarly, but in a different manner in comparison to the original chronograph. Marcello C. obviously spent their time ensuring that the Diavolo Automatic has a distinct high-end sporty look. This particular model is in blue, with a deep blue dial and blue leather strap. Several color option swill be available. The most notable new feature is the guilloche machine engraved dial. See the images for a closeup of the fine decoration that isn't at all distracting. It works very well with the substantial hour indicators. Best part is how the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock hour indicators are all faceted. Never cliche, the Diavolo is an extremely well polished watch. The mir
Hey guys - first trip to Italy
Hey guys! I'm planning and preparing for my first trip to Italy in June. Planning on a few days in Rome and a few days in Florence/Tuscany. From a watch lover's perspective, is there any must do or must see things while I'm over there? I would obviously like to visit the original Panerai store, but is there anything in addition to that?Thank you for your tips!
I would like to know your opinions...
I was watching a thread that had the title: What is your favorite Rolex? Of course I did not see the 130 responses but by making a general look I do not see any Oyster Perpetual or Datejust the two in their different sizes. I've been seeing for a while that more than a Rolex Forum this is a Rolex Sports Watches Forum. What happens with the other models? Do not like them or would not buy them? For this reason, will it be the shortage or the surcharge for sports models? And this I see a long time ago, I have almost 1100 posts. I would like to know your opinions. Thanks friends.
