William Shatner Passage Watch By Egard
Egard is a brand I'm very familiar with, as I've reviewed a good number of their watches over the last year or two, and have had the opportunity to see their designs improve and mature. ?William Shatner is also someone I'm very familiar with, as my earliest SciFi memories are from watching reruns of Star Trek with my dad. ?For the past year, Shatner has worked with Egard's founder, Ilan Srulovicz to create a timepiece that's out of this world - the Passages. Were it not for Shatner's involvement in this particular model, this is a watch that would still, definitely, make me take notice. ?You can't help but have your eye caught by the interestingly shaped case (officially, it measures in at 45mm). ?What makes this particular case more of a technical feat isn't readily apparent - the domed sapphire crystal. ?As you might imagine, combining that case shape with a domed sapphire was no small feat - and it's something I'm looking forward to checking out in person one day.Under that domed cry
HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 133 - A Quintet of Time
How is it that we can love one unreasonably priced expensive watch while feeling something totally different for another? The unique emotions behind desiring the unnecessary comes into play as we discuss the HYT H2 watch as well as the Breva Genie 01. We also take a close look at the reader response to our recent Rolex Submariner watch review, as well as the pretty cool Antoine Martin Slow Runner and the Basis fitness watch.Listen to episode 133 of the HourTime show watch podcast here. Does it have lume?
I'm a newbie to AP and I just received my AP ROO panda dial. I am used to Rolex with its amazing lume. My question is do AP's have any lume? The reason I ask is I can't see anything on my ROOin the dark. Just curious. Thanks
5960P - Why so little love?
I've always found the 5960P - grey dial - to be a fantastic looking piece. With that said, I'm really surprised at the significant decline in prices on the secondary market as compared to it's retail price that was north of $90k. Did Patek oversaturate the market, or is there some other reason for the deep discount in the secondary market? Would be interested in hearing people's opinion.
15300 to 5711, would you ?
Hi guys.I have been tempted lately by a little devil. I am thinking of maybe trading the 15300 white dial for a PP5711 white dial. Reason is not a financial one, it is mainly that I am not a man of many watches and I am thinking of diverting the funds for a datograph later on. Collection would be 2 to 3 watches at most but looking for true gems.Would you, would you not and the reason for it. Not that I don't like my 15300, far from it, I love it ! I am just thinking of jumping on the Patek world with a nice opportunity I have. I have always admired Patek for craftsmanship, exclusivity, under the radar and absolute beauty. Same apply to my AP in my opinion, but I am considering this opportunity I have.Let me know what you think.
