Omega Speedmaster Date "Yemen" Watch
Why the Speedmaster Date "Yemen?" Well, Omega doesn't give it a special name, and the dial does bear the colors of the Yemen's flag - which is red, white, and black. So that is the nick name I have given it to differentiate it from the zillion other Speedmaster watches. I am discussing this Omega Speedmaster Date variant because I think it is a particularly handsome look - that reminds me of a combo of modern and retro design cues. And is it just me, or does this "theme" remind you a bit of the Rolex Paul Newman Daytona? The light toned white dial with black subdials really bring out the look of the subdials, even when seen from afar. Then, the added red color add a youthful sportiness to the Speedmaster look, that itself doesn't always feel "fresh." I've shown most of the variants here, but there are a few others than you can check out via Omega here. You can see that Omega offers it in the Valjoux 7750 movement version, as well as with their Calibre 3304 (which I think is an ETA 2894,
Another first AP thread! ROO Safari
I haven't been a long time AP lover, in fact I never considered one like some watches that I've wanted for years (such as a PP nautilus) but not too long ago I went into the only AD in Melbourne that stocks AP's and had a browse....didn't take long to want one more than any watch I could think of! I guess I don't see many, if any, around here and pictures just don't do them justiceThey happened to have a Royal Oak Offshore Safari and another model in stock that arrived the day before. The sales guy was actually surprised as he said they normally sell Safari's to VIP's before they hit the shelf and that they only get allocated 2 per financial year from AP (who knows how much truth is in that...they are salespeople after all)Anyway, told me the price...and that there are no discounts even though I'm a long time client since its such a rare/sought after model in Australia and they were confident it would sell for full price that week. Wasn't going to reserve it at full retail price so I l

Any thoughts on a rg rc removing the rubber off the bezel? Has anyone seen that before?
De Ville Chronoscope
Hey guys, I've been looking at the De Ville Chronoscope GMT lately and it's such a beautiful watch.I'm very interested in the watch, but it's very hard to find information about it though, like reviews or better photos.I was wondering if anyone here owns one and/or can post some high resolution photos of it, or a link to a detailed review. Thanks!
Pam 692
Hi All. I have a handful of Panerais and always seem to gravitate torwards Luminor Submersible 47mm, my submersibles are 305, 285, 507 and the 508 and I apsolutly love the 692. I especially like the new material for Panerai and what they are calling called BMG-TECH (Bulk Metallic Glass) i think the fact they have figured out this new material and a 50 year guarantee from the movement needing any kind of lubrication is cutting edge and will sell like hot cakes and probably make its way to other models. It's suppose to be lighter and more durable than their titanium and the color is said to be slightly darker than the titanium with a gray hue, which I like.Although I haven't seen it in person, I know I'll want the watch but trying to talk myself out of buying another submersible. Has anyone seen this watch in person? If so, would like to get some feedback.
