Brand new watch but with dated papers - any concerns?
Hi all. I am looking at a new AP that is brand new/in box, but it's being given at a pretty good discount (30%) because the papers are dated (almost three years). Any reasons to be worried about a watch that is brand new but has been sitting in its box for years? Thanks.
Bam Beast! ROO in rose gold 44mm. I'm in love!!
So I have been a watch fanatic for a long time. After starting out with a $300 Tissot way back when, working my way up to a Breitling eventually. Then came a Corum, another Breitling, a Zenith, a Hublot, this and that and finally I stopped at a brand that I absolutely love! Let me correct that, my heart goes out to two brands actually: Hublot and Audemars Piguet. Although one has to say that AP has the edge due to its long standing history, the tradition and heritage. Plus the quality is just astounding. If you haven't held an AP in your hand, the pictures barely ever do it justice. So after careful consideration with my fiancee, I decided to do the reasonable thing and spend what some people put down on a house to add to my collection. and behold.... here it is: The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 44mm in Rose Gold. I always enjoy looking at people's pictures of their new watches, so I hope you do the same :) Absolutely in love with this watch. It pops on the wrist like no other. Fi
Seamaster GMT Service Feedback From Nesbit's
I would like to inform everyone on the very good service I received from Nesbit's after sending in my 2009 SM GMT 50th Anniv. for its first service. The watch had slowly started to act up over the last year where the reserve power would drop off more and more along with other indications showing I needed to have it serviced. Because it was my daily watch and I liked it so much I wore it longer than I should have. I finally decided to put it in the drawer to force myself from making it worse and to also save up the cash for the service (it's part of how we budget things in our home). I checked a number of posts to see the experience folks were having across the country at different shops. After two months of saving and researching, I sent out a couple emails to prospective shops. After getting my numerous questions answered by Jan Nesbit; I sent the watch off to her. Her initial estimate was 30 days so I was quite surprised when she indicated the watch would be finished early at app

Any chance of Diver bezel + GMT hand Rolex?
Has there ever been a model that has both a diver bezel for timing stuff and a GMT hand for keeping track of second time zone? Probably it would be quite messy looking for a Rolex as there would have to be two numbered 'rings' but other brands (Omega for instanse) have done it with more or less aesthetically pleasing designs. Is there a chance Rolex would conceive such a watch? Speaking against it is 1) cannibalisation on both Sub and GMT models, and 2) it doesn't really fit any known professional category of usage which Rolexes are known to have. Any thoughts? New to this forum so apologise if this has been discussed before.
