Van Cleef & Arpels Midnight Extraordinary Series Watches For 2010
One can always expect beautiful artistic watch creations from Van Cleef & Arpels each year at SIHH. Not that any of the watches are affordable to the lay person. For examples these models are all in platinum. They are highly primed for visual appreciation. Of the 2010's new collections from Van Cleef & Arpels is the Midnight Extraordinary Series. I don't know exactly how models there are. but here are three from the main California Landscapes collection, and two below from the Midnight Extraordinary Japanese Lacquer series.I am most interested in the California Landscapes series, likely because I live in California. It is true that not all the scenes are at night (in contrast tot he "midnight" part of the name), but each are interesting feats of talent. Instead of just enamel on dial paintings, the landscapes are done with some enamel work, but also a mosaic of jewels and stones. SMP, blue or black?
Hi, I am planning to buy an Omega, SMP co-axial is one of my favorites. I have some questions and need your advice ^^ I can't decide Black or Blue SMP. Black: I like this color more, it can be casual or formal. Blue: This color is more classic, an icon color. But Blue seems casual, not as versatile as Black. Questions are: 1. Whether James Bond ever wear Black SMP? Or Bond only wears Blue? 2. The bracelet of SMP is without fine adjustment. Would this bracelet fit your wrist without any difficulties, by using the half link? A few SMP owners are complaining about the bracelets are either too loose or too tight, even using the half link. 3. Which color your suggest? I tend to choose Black, but I also think Blue is good. :P Sorry for so many questions. For your reference, I attach a pic as above. The left two are what I am considering. It is borrowed. I am quite headache about these two colors. I really need your advice. ^^

Spring bar pins replacement question
How frequently do you recommend replacing the spring bar pins on the metal bands?I usually wear my watch everywhere I go to include ocean waters. Not sure if the salt water breaks down the spring faster.

Scratch on back of case. Brand new purchased at AD
There is no way I made this scratch. Wore it home from ad and put it in the pillow and into the Rolex box. 7 days later I notice a scratch on the back of the case (opposite side of the face). I spoke to a very nice employee over the phone who said I can take the watch in and they can offer me a free polishing. I told him Ill take the free polish but I wont polish for at least a year due to the watch being brand new. I went into the store the following day. Unfortunately, the sales rep i spoke over the phone was not working so i told the problem to another sales rep there.She was very rude... telling me that every watch has a plastic at the back of the watch. Saying look i have lots of scratches like that on my watch. How rediculous. Haha funny because I remember clearly there was no sticker at the back of my watch at the time of purchase!! She did not even check my information and told me the original sales rep will call me tomorrow.The watch has already been resized with all stickers

Will the ceramic BLRO insert fit on the BLNR?
So I'm in love with the GMT Pepsi but can't find one in a decent shape and the white gold one is rediculously expensive. Would I be able to get the BLRO ceramic insert?Will it fit in the current 116710?What do you guys think of that idea?Thanks for any thoughts
