Rado D-Star Basel Special 2011
The DiaStar 1962 was the first wristwatch in the world made resistant ceramic stripe Certainly, since the brand has evolved and is now primarily associated with brilliant black ceramic case, new watch is also black: the case and the rubber strap.
Its dial has a page layout standard chronograph with an indicator of small seconds to 03, in 12 hours counter 06 Chronograph and the 30 minutes totalizer chrono in 09. The opening of the small date is neatly placed between 4 and 05. As usual, the Swiss watchmaker has not said a word on the size of the timer, or the movement of ticks inside. However, we know that the movement is automatic winding. No doubt, some blank size of ETA S.A.
First Omega... Very impressed!
I received this awesome piece today from trusted seller Mosco. I am very impressed with the watch, how it looks, how it feels and the character. I'm very happy I experimented. Check out a few pics.
5235G production number ..
I was visiting the PP Boutique yesterday and next to me a customer with a 5270R asking about his long waiting 5235g since early last year wasn't too happy and he asked the manager how many 5235g already been delivered since the launch, the manager told him he got no idea.I am wondering too... What do you think? My guess are... easily into the thousands??Jen
Patek at Auction Results: What's ahead?
A quick note/thread to discuss some of today's Christie's auction results. I bid on a particular reference today (did not win, but came damned close). Some references seemed to do OK, while others really surprised me on their low price. Yes, it's no secret that Patek sales are slow and auction prices are soft, but some of these results are quite interesting (in particular on the more complicated references) and make me wonder if we will continue to see a downward trend for some iconic and historically auction favorites.Let me know what you think. Thanks. The figures below are the all-in price paid by buyers (including premiums). Bad results that caught my eye:5131J - $100k5170G (Tiffany Dial - the watch that was of most interest to me) - $60k5970P - $168k! The Golden Ellipse...
What do you think about the Patek Golden Ellipse model? With just one 5000 series reference (in platinum only) and three 3000 series smaller sized references in gold in the 2013 catalogue, is there much demand for these references in today's larger size, complication heavy watch world? Wonder what are Patek's future plans for the model.
