TAG Heuer CEO Stephane Linder Resigns, Jean-Claude Biver Steps In As Interim CEO
Big news out of La Chaux-de-Fonds: Stphane Linder, CEO of TAG?Heuer, has resigned from his position at the helm of one of the world's largest watchmakers. Jean-Claude Biver, current Head of Watchmaking?at LVMH, will act as CEO of TAG?Heuer in the interim.Linder assumed the role of CEO just last year, after former CEO Jean-Christophe Babin left TAG?Heuer to become CEO at Bulgari.?The departure of Linder, who has worked at TAG?Heuer for 21 years, comes amidst significant?restructuring at the firm, including 46 layoffs in September and a refocus on lower-priced watches.Linder's resignation is the second departure of key management this year for TAG?Heuer, after Patrick Pruniaux, VP of Sales and Retail, left the Swiss watchmaker to join Apple.
Where's Thomas(TSW)?
Hey has anyone heard from Thomas? He's been unnaturally silent for a while. The AP forum without Thomas is like PB&J without PeanutButter.
5167R - bling or no bling
I'm considering a 5167r and, while I wouldn't wear a full gold watch, I've read some of the comments on this forum and it seems that some 5167r owners to feel differently about 5167r, in that it does not have the bling normally associated with gold watches. Is it still considered a sport watch in gold? I have a 5167a which I'm bonded to, but would consider flipping that for 5164a to complement 5167r. Appreciate any comments.
Another "Help Me Understand Pam" thread....
I look at Panerai pictures on the web and they all look basically the same but I know they're not and there are no retailers anywhere near where I live so if someone could explain in plain English the differences between Luminor, Radiomir, 1950, etc. it would be really helpful. I think the Panerai Luminor 1950 Flyback Chrono PAM 212 is a work of art but am totally hesitant to pull the trigger because I'm unsure of its size and their site reveals very little to the uninitiated buyer.
