Introducing The Blancpain Villeret 8 Day With Grand Feu Enamel Dial
With SIHH behind us, the pre-Baselworld releases are starting to appear. The first release from Blancpain is an addition to the classic Villeret collection, the Villeret 8 Day with Grand Feu enamel dial. The styling is restrained and traditional like the rest of the Villeret collection and inside is an in-house Blancpain movement with a full eight days (192 hours) of power reserve. 2 OF 3 One of the highlights of the new Villeret 8 Day is the Grand Feu enamel dial. Grand Feu is a special type of enamel that involves layering pigments and firing repeatedly at extremely high temperatures. So instead of the numerals being painted onto the enamel, they are actually painting in enamel during the process. The result means that on the finished dial the numbers are set in the enamel and will not wear away with time. These are hand painted and feature little hollows that match the open hands. 3 OF 3 Turning the 42mm red gold case over you'll see the calibre 1335
Buying on TRF
If I purchase a watch, Rolex or AP from a TRF like DavidSw will the watch still be under the factory warranty? If i need to have it sized or any other minor issues, will they do it at the Rolex/AP Boutique.
15202 vs 15300
Let see those 15202 and 15300's!Curious how the 8.10mm thickness vs 9.40 thickness compares. Also any comments on comfort?
Aqua Terra Review
Know this link has been posted before by SLR Dude, but thought wold post it again. Type of Review I like reading about a watch, tested in a real adventure!!.network54/Forum/16962...ng+ruggedness+...Starting to think that the Omega Aqua Terra may be just the perfect watch I have been looking for. Larger in size than a Datejust, at your choice of 39mm or 42mm.Rated to 150 meters for WR.AR coated crystal on the inside.Good visibility of the dial/hands.Simple movement, only Time and Date.See through back case.Co-Axial movement, more time between service intervalsCermaic Ball Bearing RotarVery comfortable, well smoothed out Bracelet and claspDecent price $2000 - $30003 year warrantyIMHO much better watch, due to above features, than Rolex.
Considering purchasing a Panerai while I'm here in the Caymans...few questions
I'm on a trip in the Caymans and I'm considering picking up a Panerai. I haven't really ever researched the brand that much other than admiring wrist shots of others wearing them on this sight. Here are a few questions:1. I have a 6.5 wrist. What models work best for a smaller wrist?2. As a Rolex owner, I understand the way business is done with Rolex discounts on different models. Is Panerai similar?3. What is the best bang for your buck in the Panerai lineup? Thanks,
