De Bethune DBS Tourbillon Watch For 2015
Baselworld 2015 sees the release of the De Bethune DBS Tourbillon, a futuristic homage to the brand's recent past. The De Bethune DBS Tourbillon's raison d'etre is to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the De Bethune DBS, and to simultaneously showcase how far this ambitious company has come in the last decade. Founded in 2002, the manufacture has created a recognizable brand aesthetic that counts distinctive size, astute visual consistency, and surprisingly unusual color schemes amongst its most eye-catching traits. By adding a tourbillon to the De Bethune DBS model, De Bethune is updating one of its more iconic pieces for their avid fans. At 6 o'clock on the dial, the high-frequency tourbillon beats away at 36,000 vph. Such an operating speed is made possible by the weight (or lack thereof) of the 63 components that are used in the tourbillon's construction. The whole complication comes in at a mind-boggling 0.18 grams. The lightest component weighs less than 0.0001 g and the heavi
The Watch I Wore The Most In 2014, By Every Single Member Of The HODINKEE Team
Members of the HODINKEE team are often asked about our personal watch buying and wearing habits. That's understandable – we spend our days around incredible watches, both old and new, and most of us have dedicated not only our careers but also our lives to understanding and appreciating these timepieces. This year, we continue our annual tradition of sharing our watch-wearing habits of the past 12 months. We asked every member of the HODINKEE team, from Kelly, to Blake, to Eric and Will, to Felix and Jason, to Evald, to Paul, to Ben and John Mayer, which watch, out of all the watches they've worn in 2014, they spent the most time with. The answers will tell you a lot about who we all are as watch lovers. Curved end straps on small wrists
I have bought a genuine rubber (that looks like leather) with the curved ends that hug the case, to replace the worn orange croc strap on my PO. Trouble is that because my wrist is small I end up with a really unsightly gap when the strap is pulled away from the case due to my small wrist. I then tried both on my Seamaster GMT with the same result. If my wrist was 1/2 inch bigger there would be no problem.I then bought an after market rubber one, this does the same, its a real shame because they look great on straps. Is this a common problem? I have now bought a strap with straight ends as the original one was.I should have taken fotos of it!
