Updated Style Marcello C Nettuno 3 For Sale On eBay: Auction Ends Nov-20-07 01:10:27 PST
I love when Marcello C watches show up on eBay, it is such a rare treat, and an opportunity to own a truly satisfying watch. The Marcello C Nettuno 3 is uncommon watch as it is relatively inexpensive but enjoys a very high level of quality. The only other watch to compare it to is the Rolex Submariner. Each have the same features, and arguably, the Marcello C Nettuno is more comfortable on the wrist. I have a Marcello C Nettuno 3, actually two of them. They are perfect watches for everyday wear, that are stylish, and very handsome. This Nettuno 3 is very special because it is a special edition style watch. It has been outfitted with "sword" hands, and special hour indicators. The custom indicators and hands serve to give the watch a more aggressive and bold look. Sword hands on diver's watches such as this are commonly used to increase visibility underwater and at night. The larger hands tend to be more conspicuous in such environments. Damn you Jumbo; Why must you wear so large!!
Hands down one of my favourite designs ever! The blue dial on this specific model, with the legendary AP bracelet, the legendary movement, this watch is the perfect all rounder for me, but I just simply can't stand the way it wears on my wrist.Subtle, but still a nice presence due to the bracelet and case design. The last picture is the only one wear it looks acceptable; I think it is the angle on the pic honestly. The rest show what I mean about the stiff lugs, preventing the watch from resting on my puny wrists!!
Omega Memomatic Alarm Watch Pickup Today...
Here is a reasonably nice and all original example of a 1970's (actually 1969 I think) Omega Memomatic Alarm Watch. I had not heard of this reference previous to finding this one today...very cool history for sure. This watch has a Lemania cal. 2980 derivative movement that is an Omega cal. 980 with a very unique auto winding movement AND alarm and a 48 hour power reserve. This example is case reference 166-072 and comes with the original Omega stainless steel 1170 / 618 bracelet and end pieces. Super cool piece from the very early Seventies!
Patek 5167 or Rolex 116655?
What would your choice be to keep? Have a 5726, 5167, 116655, and 116610lv currently. Also have a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Milspec incoming. What would you keep and why?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rolex Magazine being discontinued
My AD told me last week that Rolex Magazine is being discontinued. The sub issue is the last one is what he said. With that news I would like to complete my collection, does anyone have extra copies of issue #1 (Daytona) or #3 (SkyDweller)?
