A Little Conversion for the 25721ST Worth Every Penny
As you guys know, I am a purist when it comes to AP Royal Oaks and Royal Oak Offshores. Therefore, I never imagined doing anything to my Royal Oak Offshore 'The Very First One' a.k.a The Beast. My watch ref. 25721ST as featured here, is a very early example with serial under 200.Well, a few days ago, I got the itch and decided to add the strap from the new Offshore Navy to give my watch a more casual look. One thing I was worried about, was if the hue of the Navy strap would match the blue therban pushers and crown on my watch, and it sure did. Could've not being happier. After adding a set of new stainless steel plots, strap screws, Navy rubber strap and new tang buckle, here's the result. All parts came straight from Audemars Piguet. Enjoy!!!
No reason to avoid!
Hi all,Tried this:.omegawatches/gents/sp...32110425002001 on at an Omega Boutique yesterday and can't believe how stunning it is. So much better looking in real life than the photos can ever portray.I really like it and am surprised there doesn't seem to be much love for these on the forums? Or maybe my searching fu in not working very well!Seriously thinking of purchasing one, it's got the 3313 movement, which is a self-winding chronograph movement with column wheel mechanism and co-axial escapement .I trust this movement is now rock solid after initial problems years ago?Anyone know any more info about this watch and any potential problems with it?Any reason why/ why not to get one?Anyone own one? Thanks in advance for any info.
Indecision about the Omega Speedmaster Pro
Hi everyone,I'm struggling with a decision about pursuing the Omega Speedmaster Pro (3570.50 or the 3573.50). I keep coming back to it but can never pull the trigger on it. I already have a chronograph, and several other nice watches (i.e., Rolex, Omega, GS). My near-daily watches are the Rolex Sub-date and the Rolex Explorer II-Polar.Why the hesitation about the Speedmaster Pro? It's a manual wind, doesn't have a date, and the issue of the hesalite crystal. I like the warmer 'look' of the hesalite crystal (3570.50) better than the sapphire crystal (i.e. 3753.50) but appreciate the practical aspects of the sapphire crystal. Im forgetful, and often check my watch several times during the day to remind myself the date. But no matter how often I go through other watches, I keep coming back to the Omega Speedmaster Pro. I love the Speedmaster Pro's history and I love its balanced beauty. My wife thinks its silly that I always check out the Speedmaster Pro when I stroll through different mal
Unique Piece ...!!
I've visited my local AD and saw this unique pocket watch. On reality its a piece of art. Perpetual calendar minute repeater with baguette, ruby and labaz stones. You cannot stop looking to it all the time. The sound of Repeater is just STUNNING!. When you carry it on your hand you easy feel that you're carrying a real treasure.Price??!!. Unfortunately its NOT for sale!!!. Even Patek Philippe asked them to resell it to their Museum but AD apologized!!.Pics (I forgot to take the case back pics but its not less than front's beauty) ...Hope you guys like it ....Have a great moments all.
