Talking Watches: One Year After The Launch Of Talking Watches, Every Episode In Order
It's hard to believe, but it was just one year ago – to the day – that we launched a little video series with a rock star in a Soho cafe. Yup, today is the one year anniversary of Talking Watches. To celebrate all the stories we've heard, the watches we've seen, and the cheese knives made legendary, we are running every single episode of Talking Watches in a single post, from episode one with John Mayer, all the way to episode eight with Fabrizio Sotti. That is over one hour and ten minutes worth of Talking Watches, each as good as the next. Click through to relive the fun, and watch this space for episode nine coming very soon!Episode One: Musician John Mayer Episode Two: NBA Star J.J. Redick Episode Three: Mega Collector and Author John Goldberger Episode Four: Man of the World Founder Alan Maleh Episode Five: KISS Drummer Eric Singer Episode Six: Mega-Collector Alfredo Paramico
Nothing quite like a blue dial.
Snapped a couple of pictures today and fell in love all over again.
ROO Elephant strap question
I have finally decided to jump into the world of AP and have decided on the AP ROO Elephant. I have a strap size question. I have a 7 1/4 wrist and want to also order the grey strap to go along with the hornback that comes with it and was wondering if I need to order the xtra small rubber strap for a tight fit? I am not a big fan of my rubber / leather straps being lose or should the standard size fit me right out of the box? also wondering if anyone knows how much the rubber strap retails for so I have an idea of what I am looking at.thanks again for the help
The right stuff
Over the last few months I've been doing a slight adjustment to my collection with the idea of looking for a few pieces with historical significance. While I've had a few Speedmasters in the past, for one reason or another they've moved on to new homes. As I re-thought my collection I realized any collection of watches with significant impact in the sports/professional community should include such an iconic piece.I went for the standard hesalite moon watch to represent the Speedmaster professional side of the house as, for me, this is the reference that represents all that is legendary about Omega's Speedmaster series. It sure helped that my AD was so accomodating.Sooo,....a few quick shots of the newest member of my little group.
authentic Rolex watch back REF 15505 ?
unless told otherwise, I didn't think Rolex marked the outside of their watchcase backs with Stainless Steel, however this is apparently a authentic Rolex watch case back REF 15505
