Traveling with ROC - bracelet woes
I'm wrapping up an awesome spring break in Arizona and for the first time traveling took my ROC on its bracelet. At home, I've found it great for everyday wear but during my travels, I have run into wrist swelling problems. And of course with no micro-adjusting clasp, there were times I just couldn't wear it. I don't know all of the physiology, but am guessing the frequent changes in altitude and hydration make your wrist change in size frequently.I don't really want to bring a watch kit (screwdrivers, extra links, etc) when I travel. So in the future, I'm wondering if this is a time to put it on a strap or go with another watch altogether. The low WR rating is also a reason it may not be an ideal single travel watch. I love my ROC, but it doesn't do me any good in its travel box. I know there are a lot of frequent travelers on TRF so was wondering what others do in this situation. HELP - Question about Chronomatic 2110
A question for the more experienced members out there. I know that traditionally a Chronomatic 2110 Panda would have orange hands/black bottoms on the white racing dial. I also know that there have been some rare models where white hands were used for specific companies. So, my question.....was the 2110 ever produced (stock) with white hands? Or, are these likely service replacements? I have a set of correct NOS orange/black hands, but wanted to ask the question before making any ill informed change. Movement is Cal. 11. (not Cal.11i). S/N is '69 if the info is helpful. I welcome any input/information on this. Thanks - Jeff
Vintage Omega Seamaster Megaquartz Watch Expert Advice Required
I remember fondly years ago my dad wearing this watch all the time. Holidays on the beach, by the pool and for day to day work. Well he hasn't worn it for ages so I enquired as to whether he still had it. To my surprise look what he took out of his bedside drawer. I think the battery must has gone as it isn't working and when I popped the back off the plexiglas fell off too. does any one know any details about it as I have done search after search on google images and nothing that resembles it pops up.Thanks in advance.
Should I buy it anyway?
So I travel a lot and called an AD (not in my home town) who I talked to before and he has my name on the waiting list for the usual suspects (hulk and Daytona SS)Today I called to check my position on the list and as I was hanging up he said that they have a Batman If I'm interested!!It's really not a watch I've been wanting but would I be wrong passing the opportunity?I don't want to become grey market dealer and am not interested in the buy sell theme but what do yuh guys think? A- Should I buy it and maybe trade it to something I want later onB- buy it and sel it to Fund a watch I wantC- pass and just wait for what I wantFinally with the expected price increase from Rolex, D- is it a good investment to buy it and keep it in my safe?Help is appreciated
Could anyone here please tell me what the MRSP is for the two tone GMT in the USA?
The information on the thread Rolex prices across countries seems to be out of date for the United States prices, it should show the price on the Rolex website but I unfortunately cannot view the US price from my country. Thank you in advance.
