Hysek Earth Colosso Is A Weird Wonderful Watch Completely Out Of Place In Today's Market
I am afraid that the current state of the watch industry is not primed to appreciate watches like the Hysek Colosso. Today, fashion, looks, and style are very important. In essence, most of the emphasis is placed on offering watches to the super rich that look good. That is not always the case of course, and we still see interesting beasts like the Hysek Colosso.Seeing the Colosso reminds me of the DeWitt WX-1 Concept watch. Not because they look the same, but because they are bred from the same ilk. Two technically inclined science fiction watches meant for a very small number of enthusiasts. Each year you see a couple of watches like this which are debuted at Basel World, but this is certainly a very interesting model, from Hysek which is not typically a company to release such grand example of watch excess.The Colosso is really not a very pretty watch. While it does not have an offensive shape or anything like that, it looks like a planetary spaceship (literally to carry the planet)

RO perpetual calendar stainless steel white face or blue?
Hi peeps, thinking if I should get the REF. #26574ST.OO.1220ST.01 or the blue face variation.If I go for the white I could get at least a 15% off the AD. However for the blue I could only get from the boutique and can only get 3% off. I've seen both in the flesh and personally prefer the blue face but the pricing difference is pretty significant. Incoming AP RO 15300
Recently got the AP bug after spending time on the AP sub-forum here..Got the 15300 on order, 39mm black dial with bracelet, which i think pays tribute well to the original RO design by Gerald Genta. I am fascinated with both designs by him, the other being the Nautilus 5711/1a which i am hoping to get few years down the road and hopefully that being the last piece in the crazy watch chase.Currently having Pams, Rolexes, Omegas and assorted brands but this is the first AP. The hexagonal design of the bezel is the feature that sets it of for me. and i prefer the version of the RO to be closer to the original design so i am not so hot on the ROOs for now (hopefully for a long long while so i do not have to spend on expanding the AP collection). Also believe that sizes in respective brands should stay the way they were originally designed, i.e. Rolex sports 40mm, PAMs at 44/47mm, AP 37/39mm. Base design/dimensions are good and will stay true to the purist even as sizes grown and shrink,

Titanium Seamaster 300
New incoming this past weekend. I absolutely LOVE this watch. Some don't like the weight/feel of titanium. However, with this watch, it provides so many advantages. The blue dial alone is worth it, not to mention the fact that it just disappears on the wrist. Just fabulous.The adjustable bracelet is also very well executed. I like the Rolex Glidelock a bit better but still a nice design by Omega. With so many black-dialed, steel watches in my collection, it's nice to have this option of a different metal and dial color. My observations on timekeeping are very favorable. Since Friday evening, it's gained only 1.5 seconds. Very nice to see such accuracy. Below is a quick pic from today.
