The watch industry is a complicated one and it is in a unique phase right now. China, which has been a fertile ground for so many brands in the past couple of years, is slowing down. And this is a cause of concern to some industry watchers. But this is just one of the many problems that the industry is facing, and in this month's roundup, we try to analyze and explain just what is going on in the watch industry right now. That aside, we also spend some time with new watches from Bulova, Seiko, Frederique Constant, Ancon and Rolex. And finally, we have a chat with the revered Kari Voutilainen, and also talk to Maria Doulton, the founder of The Jewellery Editor, to find out how emotions and stories play a part in our decisions to buy watches.1. Photo Report: A Quick Look At The Unique Tudor Heritage Black Bay ONE Reference 7923/001 To Be Sold
On June 29th of this year, we showed you a simple looking watch – one made of stainless steel with a simple self-winding movement inside – that got a lot of people excited. I'm talking about the Tudor Heritage Black Bay ONE Reference 7923/001, a unique watch made for Only Watch 2015. Not only is it great looking, but it's also the very first confirmed unique watch to ever come from Tudor. Now we have a few "live" photos of it – and it looks awesome. 1 OF 10 The 7923/001 is a true remake of a historical piece, which is actually in contrast to the existing Tudor Heritage line, which has always been something of an amalgamation of several historical pieces. Interested in a Speedy
Good Evening/Morning, Everyone.I am looking to purchase my first Omega. I was given 2 vintage pieces when my grandfather passed away and at the moment a Rolex is out of reach price wise. I also tend to gravitate towards the Daytona which is out of reach for the moment. I really like how the Speedy looks and wears. I just have a few questions about the major differences between the Speedy Pro and Regular models. Are there any references/calibers that have proven to be problematic, have issues, or that I should try and find?I've been looking on EBay and even though I tend to stay away from online purchases, the particular seller I have found has literally dozens of Speedy's and good feedback. I also would be protected by PayPal protection. I have attached a few links to some of the watches I have looked at. The seller is in Japan. I obviously want the watch to be all original with the original movement, etc, so are there any tells or ways I can identify this? Unfortunately the Canadian do
