Rotor customisation by Audemars Piguet
All,I understand that Audemars Piguet offer a rotor customisation programme. May I ask if anyone is able to share additional information and perhaps their personal experience of this programme (perhaps including pictures of the customised rotors)? In particular, I would be interested in the price of various designs (as I understand this is based on the complexity), whether it is true that this service is offered free of cost for boutique customers and whether one has the option of returning to the original rotor (perhaps at the time of service)? Thanks!
Looking at AP, have some Q's re 15400
1) I typically like a bit of weight to my watches. How much does the 15400 weigh in stainless?2) Is the 15400 robust enough to reasonably handle the day to day wear like a Rolex Submariner can?3) Can anyone recommend an AD in the Toronto area? I'm leaning toward the blue face, do they typically discount and how much.Thx in advance.
Forged Carbon Diver or ROO Chrono?
I am considering a plunge back into AP. I have owned 3 AP's in the past SS Diver, Volcano, and 15400. All three are gone but I am getting the AP bug once again. Between the FC Diver and the new Style 42mm ROO Chrono's which do you gents prefer?
Question about possible Breitling Premier purchase..
Hey guys,Just found this vintage Breitling Premier for sale from my watch maker. Hes asking 2k for it..solid 18k rose gold. Dials have been refinished and crystal looks like a replacement. is $2,000 a fair price? Any help would be appreciated. I love the way it looks on my wrist!Uploaded with ImageShack.us(sorry for the blackberry pic)Thanks in advance.
Toshi Strap
So I'm relatively new to the Panerai scene, but already love the ease of swapping straps! I love the various browns people use and think they suit the vintage image of a Pam. There are lots of them however so I am feeling bold! Managed to get a lime green oem strap when I bought the watch and love it. After reading plenty reviews here and on various web sites I decided to order a Toshi Strap. I have started tame with light blue and brown stitching. The quality of the strap is the same, if not better than oem! I cannot recommend the starap enough. Very soft and supple from the outset, fits the watch great, and is very comfortable. Not a photographer as you can see, but being a petrol head I have taken a picture of my dream watch (real) next to one of my dream cars (sadly not real and only a model one!).[IMG][/IMG]
