Edox Classe Royale Watch: Stylish Symmertry In A Tank
In watch terminology a "tank" is a square shaped watch. Strictly speaking, it was a name given to a rectangular Cartier watch, but has been applied to square along with rectangular watches. Square watches are a contradiction, because an analog clock is round, and you have stick a circle in a square. Tank watches are style choices, and represent a different theme on what a watch should be. Of course there are many variations on the square shape. but the classic big box is always appealing as it makes a stark contrast with the disangularity of one's wrist. A tank watch always sticks out well. The Edox Classe Royale is a risky, yet rewarding watch from Edox. Mixing sport and luxury, the Classe Royale is the epitome of a "show me" timepiece. Thinking out loud (World timer)
This is my first post on the Patek forum ,, i wish it was an incoming post but i am afraid it isn't . I was thinking about world timers as the 5130p was/is on my wishlist for quite a while, So i decided to share my thoughts regarding WTs hoping i could trigger a discussion and get some invaluable input from our expert brethren here in TRF ,,, please keep in mind that all i am about to propose is all from my (not so)common sense and in no way am i suggesting i have any inside news , So here it goes :Given := 5110 WTs started production 2000 ended 2006.(7 years)= 5130 WTs started production 2007 ended ????. (8 years - )= both 5110 and 5130 use the same movement 240 HU= 5575 new WT limited edition (1300) with a new complication and a brand new movement 240 HU LUDiscussion:= the brand new 240 HU LU movement was only used for the 1300 new 5575 and common sense dictates that we shall get more new lunar WT i the near future. probably starting by a 5575p ? = since the 5110 series continued
Now I really want one !! Pam 587
Too bad it was already spoken for ... one can only hope
Why they call it Tudor fifty-eight?
Since the bezel is 39mm, does anyone know why they call it Black Bay fifty-eight and not Black Bay Thirty-Nine? Just like Black Bay 32mm bezel is call Black Bay 32, so to make things simple, why don't they name Black Bay 39mm bezel according to the size? Just curious
14060 for 114060
Have been thinking about it for one year now and finally pulled the trigger on moving my 114060 for a 14060 (box + papers as well!). I am loving the 5 digit reference and look forward to continuing in this crazy world of Rolex
