Help with dial color choice on 5170g
Was wondering if anyone had any advice on whether the white or black dial 5170g which is now discontinued in white gold was a better buy. I love the way they both look and have the opportunity to buy either one. I would like to take into account future value, desirability, etc. thank you all in advance!!!
New (proud) Patek 5726 owner
I recently purchase a 2015 Rolex Daytona TT with a blue dial. The watch looks great in pictures but I couldn't get into the two tone. So I decided to part with it. I also looked at my collection and decided my JLC Master Calendar wasn't seeing much wrist time so I sold her as well.I picked up this beautiful 5726. I was initially torn between this and the bracelet but decided on the strap as I like the contrast a little better. As a note- I do own a Patek Philippe gold pocket watch that belonged to my wife's great grandfather. I had it serviced by PP and was able to pull from their archives. My wife's mother left it to me after she passed so it has a lot of sentimental value... As does PP!
Thread with a man whose son passed in an accident, and his rolex was engraved.
Hello,Hope you are all well.Do you guys remember this thread?A gentleman whose son had passed away in an accident, whilst wearing his watch. That watch was later engraved by one of the reputable watchmakers during service.I remember reading it a few years ago, and it was quite emotional. If anyone has a link to that thread, I would really appreciate it.
