Watch Insider: New Bell & Ross Watches for 50th Anniversary of Dassault Mystre-Falcon 20
At this year’s Baselworld, Bell & Ross, a watch brand long associated with aviation, added to its Vintage collection's new Sport Heritage line of watches with a timepiece that pays homage to the 1960s – specifically, to Dassault Aviation’s famous Mystre-Falcon 20, the preeminent business jet of its time. Read about it in this article from my blog, Watch-Insider.In the 1960s, Dassault was already known for groundbreaking technology in designing and manufacturing fighter jets. During that era, the company applied that expertise to its development of a small, twin-engine, 10-seat business jet, called the Mystre 20. It made its maiden flight on the May 4, 1963 and immediately became a commercial success, becoming known as the Falcon. This year, Dassault delivered its 2,250th Falcon jet and continues to manufacture the modern generation of the legendary aircraft, the Falcon 7X.Dassault Falcon 20Dassault Falcon 7XBell & Ross has teamed up with the aviation company
15425OR or 15202ST
Hello all.I am saving for my next watch. Currently I really like 15425OR and 15202ST. I have 7.25 wrist and I don't like to wear anything larger than 40mm.15425OR - I really love it. This can be my ultimate F*** off piece. But I am afraid that it may be too small. Unfortunately my AD does not have it in stock.15202ST - True iconic AP watch. Cannot go wrong with thin profile, integrated steel bracelet look with the kick ass thin movement. But I already have Rolex steel watch so not sure if I want to own another all steel watch.Although I don't ever plan to sell my watches unless I absolutely need to, but in the event that I need to, I think 15202ST will be much easier to sell without losing too much. What do you think guys? Thanks.
5164 vs 5726
My local AD dealer has 5164 and 5627 in strap available This is going to be my first Patek purchase. I love both of them. This is really a hard decision for me... i need a little help from Patek community to help me decide5164 is more casual and 5627 is more dressy ....which watch would you pick as your first Patek?? Or should i put myself on wait list for 5167 or 5711??Thanks in advance
Watch damage dilemma
I have managed to damage my 5170J - whilst the picture isn't the best you can see two deep indents on the edge of the case close to 3 o'clock.I think this was due to my metal cuff link banging and then indenting into the case.Whilst it looks relatively minor to the naked eye - it keeps catching my eye.The question is a) do i send it to Patek for it to be polished or b) do i leave it as it is.Do Patek polish cases without servicing a watch and will it have an impact on the resale value (although i do not have any plans to sell it) if it has been refurbished?Any input is appreciated.
Reaction to Rolexes
I am new to the hobby, but currently own 2 watches, a 116610LN and a Breitling Navitimer 01. Not that I care or am even concerned with the perceptions or opinions of others, but I find it funny that 90% of people won't comment or notice the Rolex, but a good portion notice the Breitling and comment on it being a nice watch and if I tell them what it is, they typically have never heard of Breitling. On the other hand, the watch no one notices, they typically only notice when they see the Rolex at the top. Just an observation I found amusing somewhat.
