The customer was the U.S. military, and the product was the small field/navigator watch.Hamilton had been producing small field and navigator watches for the government under the GG-W-113 and MIL-W-46374 specifications since the mid-1960s.? When the government decided in the mid-1980s to stop purchasing and issuing large batches of military design specification watches from Hamilton and other manufacturers, Hamilton was left with 20+ years of manufacturing experience and equipment for these watches.? Rather than scrap the gear, Hamilton decided to get creative and found a way to keep making the watches.? The company negotiated contracts with a few outdoor equipment and gadget retail stores

Great News from Omega at last
After waiting patiently for several months and making a couple of posts on this matter my New and over due Speedmaster cal 9300 (two sub-dial 2011 version) is due in the country on the 25th November. As some members know from previous posts, I had paid for this watch back in August before it was released, expecting it in October which did not happen, even though they appeared in Omega Boutiques at that time. Eventually I decided to contact Omega Uk myself last week, asking for their intervention in this matter, which seemed to do the trick as a few days later I was told my speedmaster would be pulled from this next Omega import and gave guarantees that I would get the watch sometime the following week, which hopefully should be before the end of the month. I will post photos of this beautiful watch as soon as I can.

Discounts on Patek?
Up until I got on this forum, I didn't know that you could negotiate discounts on Rolexes. What type of discount can one hope to achieve with Patek AD's?
