Frdrique Constant Classic Index GMT Watch
Not every watch needs to change the world. Sometimes, it's good enough for an established brand to offer their take on the simpler, more useful complications that make up the bedrock of horology. The Frdrique Constant Classic Index GMT is just that: a solid, no-nonsense watch, powered by the FC-350 automatic calibre, offering 38 hours of power reserve, and an easy-to-read GMT function. It comes in four variations: there are two stainless steel models with stainless steel bracelets, one with a white dial, the other with a black dial, a white-dialed variant on a black leather strap, and a rose gold-plated version with a brown leather strap and a white dial. All of the cases are of identical proportions and movement specifications. It's always nice to have a bit of choice?when it comes to case and dial combinations, but it strikes me as odd they only made the black dial available with the stainless steel bracelet. Sydney Omega Relocation and New Service Centre
Was visiting the existing Omega Boutique in Sydney and talking to one of the staff about the store relocation across the road. He told me that as part of the new store there would be a service centre. I guess that's good news in that it might cut down the notoriously long time for repairs as previously everything had to go to Melbourne. Hopefully the standard will be high!
5712 or 5726?
Seeking opinions from anyone who might own either (or both) of these; or from anyone who chose one over the other? Not so much interested in strap vs. bracelet, as I'm sold on the leather strap....but more interested in 5712 vs. 5726 watch, itself. Your opinions are very appreciated ahead of time. Thank you.
Any word on whether Panerai is coming out with additional BMG Big Tech watches?
I absolutely love the science behind the materials of this watch, and would have absolutely bought the PAM 692 if it came out in a 44mm instead of just the 47, but it wasn't meant to be. I haven't been able to find out whether there other BMG watches on the horizon, as this watch was limited production, but I thought I recall reading that Panerai may be making more of these in the future.
