To put it more exactly, the tourbillon may be a victim of the success of modern precision manufacturing methods, which have made it possible to produce tourbillon wristwatches that can be priced almost unbelievably inexpensively, relative to the prices the complication used to command. However, if there is one almost universally valid truism in mechanical horology nowadays, it's that it's not so much what you do as how you do it, and how Jaeger-LeCoultre did tourbillons – and continues to do them – is a microcosm of the evolution of the tourbillon, and the hopes we might have for its future. Scratchy bracelet..ROO titanium
Hi Guys,Anyone else find that their titanium bracelet for the ROO to be sharp at the edges and scratch their wrist? Funny thing is there are no visible marks on my wrist, but at times it becomes annoying.It's a mute point because I bought an OEM AP rubber band/titanium plots/buckle. I will have it changed at the AP boutique in Bal Harbor in a few weeks.Happy Holiday

Daytona Subdial Question
This may be a very dumb question but ill ask it anyways. On the 30 minutes subdial to the chrono, how come there aren't 30 hash marks? How is one supposed to read the number of minutes elapsed it it doesn't directly correspond to the number of submarks? For example, between the 30 mark and the 10 mark, there are not 10 marks and after the first minute elapses it doesn't jump all the way to the first hash marker.I have had several Daytona's over the years but never really paid attention and was now curious. How is one supposed to read the minute counter subdial?Thanks for any responses.

My first Rolex - Datejust 41 - Complete U turn on the brand!
Very proud to say that I have my first Rolex :)It's been an odd journey to get me here. I spent years not caring for the brand at all, there wasn't a single piece that stuck out for me. The height of my collection has been around Omegas and Tags. Maybe once I became a little older and wiser, I started appreciated some models, specifically the Datejust 41 and BLNR. As time went on I started to like them even more, the beautiful subtleness of the DJ41, the detail and quality of the Oyster bracelet, the statement that is the bezel of the BLNR. It all just started to make sense why the brand is so highly regarded.I made the decision to go with the DJ41, Black, Smooth Bezel with Oyster. That configuration gives me exactly what I'm looking for in a watch at the moment. An all rounder, to be worn in and out of work, smart or casual. Anyway enough of my rambling! Here are some pics :)
