Bell & Ross Launches New Website: Easy on the Eyes, Not Easy on the Wallet
Let's face it, sometimes we're drawn to a timepiece not by its physical merits or its history, but by the image it projects. In our information-saturated era, what can set a watch company apart from the rest are the stories it tells. (Tested in ejection seats! First to the top of Everest!) Marketing is a huge component of a watch company's budget and this includes the press events, celebrity ambassadors and advertising. But a company's website is its front door, often the first place someone experiences a watch, whether he's in Topeka or Tokyo. So it pays to get it right. Bell & Ross has always been a company that has leaned heavily on its marketing and its storytelling. And with the launch of the company's new Website, their online presence carries this even further forward. The new website is fresh and uncluttered and easy to navigate. B&R's three lines - Aviation, Marine and Vintage stand front and center on the splash page and there are audio cues to get your juices flowing - a crac
New transocean chrono?
I'm thinking of selling my Grand Seiko SBGE001 to pick up the new transocean chrono. Do we have any owners out here? Does it wear consistent with it's size? How is the strap? It looks quite thick in the pictures so I wonder about it's flexibility and comfort. How is the resale value on these things? I don't see many second hand which leads me to wonder whether they are being sold or if people just love them so much they aren't on the market.
keep or flip Sub for PO?
I have been currently infatuated by the orange PO. I think it is the ultimate cool watch. It helps that I am a Clemson Tiger so orange is in my blood. Exactly a year ago I acquired a F series Rolex 14060. It was always a goal to own one. I have rarely worn it on a bracelet. I like it but don't love it. The wanting for years was way more than actually owning it. Part of me wants to flip it to put towards not one but two PO's, orange and a black. I think going pre-owned, I could be close in price. At the same time, I know the Sub is a timeless piece that will also hold its value. I probably would regret selling in time but I so want a PO in orange. I really don't know what to do. Its also time for a service on my Sub so there is another $700ish... Service or flip... quite a quandary...
cant decide which nautilus. 5726 favorite
love the mooNphase on the 5726. Still undecided
overlooked 2015 releases
Talking about non-complicated pateks, these two models seemed great in their 2015 versions. what do you guys think?5153R6000Gmaybe not our favorite references from the brand but i do think they are beautiful iteration(colorwise) of the existing models.
