It's that time of the year again. The jury of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve – the world's most important horological awards – has been announced. Not only do we retain the illustrious Mr. Clymer, Goldberger, Dufour, Bacs, and more, but we also pick up a few new additions. The most notable of the new jury members is actually a HODINKEE alum – KISS drummer Eric Singer. The new steel Pepsi on Jubilee.My son has just returned from his local AD in Santa Monica, where the lady assistant was little more than rude and obstructive.My son is a film composer and watch enthusiast, who has been waiting for some time to pounce on his ideal first Rolex. (Ironically, he wrote the music in a recent Tudor advert and has written music for Bremont videos.)What he wants to do is put his name down for one of these new pieces and is struggling to find a willing AD. Although I have been a Rolex owner for over 30 years, as I am in the UK I can offer him little advice.I would be grateful if anyone could PM me with any who to contact.
