Quantity and price of Omega Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch
The Platinum version is in addition to a version of the 40th anniversary watch, which will be also limited edition, but 7 969 pieces instead of 69 pieces for the Platinum version stainless steel. By far, the only thing to say watches except is the color of the engraved plate on the dial - what is gold for the shows of Platinum and sterling silver on the steel version. I would say that the price for the Platinum version is $ 100,000 more. Still a good pace shows, but have that they it too far? We will know only after seeing that Omega returns with the 50th anniversary in 10 years.

Watch Collecting In Japan: For F.P.Journe Enthusiast Toshio Aoyama, It All Comes Down To Design
Given the opportunity to collect any modern brand, based solely on your aesthetic preferences, where would you go? For Toshio Aoyama, founder of Japanese luxury lifestyle publication Nile's Nile, the answer was simple: F.P.Journe. We had an opportunity to speak with Mr. Aoyama during a recent trip to?Japan, learning more about his tastes as a collector and the reason he bought not one, but two Journes on his first visit to the Tokyo boutique. Not unlike one of our previous interview subjects, Alan Maleh,?Mr. Aoyama doesn't shy away from the fact that his purchases are, for the most part, dictated by the aesthetic design of each timepiece. The fact that both these collectors oversee luxury lifestyle publications is perhaps a coincidence, but their perspectives are indeed refreshing in their honesty. Watches are not art pieces C they are meant to be used.Toshio Aoyama Mr. Aoyama selected three of his?favorite timepieces?to share with us, all modern F.P.Journe watches that re

Service of modern Rolex watches
Hey guys it's been a long time since I have been on here. I guess life with kids and work just gets hectic. Hope all you guys are well. Had a quick question for owners of Rolex watches from the modern era. So I own 3 ceramics LVC, LNC and a BLNR. I believe the LNC is out warranty now and will most likely need service in the next 2-3 years. Have any of you guys used a watch maker to service your modern Rolex watches and if so what was your experience like? There is a local watch shop here that does all the warranty work for Omega and they have been in business for over 40 years. I sent my wife's DJ there and the service was good. However when I talked to ROLEX they mentioned that the newer subs and GMT watches should come back to them something to do with the ceramic inserts and polishing. The cost to service the watch is almost double what my local watch maker will charge me. Wanted to ask the opinion of the members here if this is worth it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
